Chick-fil-a (CFA)

A. The overview of restaurant


CFA is an American fast food restaurant chain headquartered in
the Atlanta district of College Park, Georgia, specializing in chicken
sandwiches. Founded in May 1946 by S. Truett Cathy, the chains former
chairman and CEO, it has more than 2,000 restaurants, mainly in the United
States.

Self-service, carry out service, drive thru service, delivery service, greet
customers with umbrellas outside when its raining, table touches that make
sure you don't need to get up from your seat, carrying customers trays to their

Florida-based restaurant chain. After Insta-Burger King ran into financial
difficulties in 1954, its two Miami-based franchisees David Edgerton and James
McLamore purchased the company and renamed it "Burger King".

The founder of Taco Bell, Glen Bell, started with a hot dog stand in San
Bernardino, California in 1946. After experimenting with alternative food items,
he opened three Taco-Tia (his initial attempts were named for his daughter)
stands between 1954 and 1955, which he later sold to his partners. He then
opened the first Taco Bell in Downey, California on March 21, 1962.
In 1975, Glen tendered his resignation as Chairman of the Board. Three years
later, he sold Taco Bell's 868 units, to PepsiCo, Inc. The deal was some six
months in the making and ended with Glen Bell as a major PepsiCo shareholder
and millions richer.

Back in 1965, Fred DeLuca set out to fulfill his dream of becoming a medical
doctor. Searching for a way to help pay for his education, a family friend
suggested he open a submarine sandwich shop.
With a loan of $1,000, the friend Dr. Peter Buck offered to become Freds
partner, and a business relationship was forged that would change the landscape
of the fast food industry.
The first shop was opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut in August, 1965. Then,
they set a goal of having 32 stores opened in 10 years.

Hesburgers history began in 1966 in Naantali, where Heikki Salmela and his

1970s, Heikki and Kirsti, as grilled-food entrepreneurs, proceeded from
Naantali to Turku, where their Puutorin Grilli was especially popular with the
locals.
In the 1980s, as fast food culture gained a stronger foothold in Finland, the first
fast food restaurants began to enter the market. In 1980, the first restaurant
bearing the name Hesburger was established in the newly-opened Hansakortteli
shopping centre in Turku

franchises more than 200 restaurants in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida,
Nevada and Utah. Its headquarters are in Carlsbad, California.
The first Rubio's restaurant was opened in 1983 at a former Orange Julius site
on Mission Bay Drive in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego. The first
restaurant offered French fries, calamari, and fish tacos, among other cuisine.

Canada, the United States, Colombia, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Ireland,
and United Arab Emirates, with franchises under development in Germany,
Guatemala, and Saudi Arabia. As of September 2015, Freshii has 244 locations
in North America, South America, and Europe while receiving over 4000
franchise applications per year.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, is an American chain of fast casual restaurants in the
United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, and France, specializing in
tacos and Mission-style burritos. Its name derives from chipotle, the Nahuatl
name for a smoked and dried jalapeo chili pepper.
Founded by Steve Ells on July 13, 1993. Chipotle had 16 restaurants (all in
Colorado) when McDonald's Corporation became a major investor in 1998. By
the time McDonald's fully divested itself from Chipotle in 2006, the chain had
grown to over 500 locations.

Sweetgreen, is an American fast casual restaurant chain that serves "simple,
seasonal, healthy food." It was founded in August 2007 by Nicolas Jammet,
Nathaniel Ru, and Jonathan Neman, three months after they graduated from
Georgetown University's undergraduate business school. As of August 2017, it
had 72 stores in operation across the United States, in California, Illinois,
Massachusetts, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and the District
of Columbia. The company has over 1,700 employees. In addition to food,
Sweetgreen has key initiatives in the philanthropy, music (Sweetlife festival),
technology (Sweetgreen app) and lifestyle space.

Red Lobster is an American casual dining restaurant chain headquartered in
Orlando, Florida. The company has operations in Canada, Malaysia, Saudi
Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Mexico, and Japan, in addition to the
United States. As of February 24, 2013, the company had 705 locations
worldwide. Golden Gate Capital has been Red Lobster's parent company since it
was acquired from Darden Restaurants on July 28, 2014.
On August 6, 2014, Red Lobster announced their new headquarters location in
CNL Center City Commons in Orlando. On March 6, 2015, Red Lobster
officially opened the Restaurant Support Center.

for $3.8 billion of the $6.9 billion revenue of parent Darden.

Bonefish Grill is an American casual dining seafood restaurant chain owned and
operated by Bloomin' Brands, headquartered in Tampa, Florida. The company
was founded on January 15, 2000, in St. Petersburg, Florida, by Tim Curci and
Chris Parker.
Bloomin' Brands acquired Bonefish Grill on October 5, 2001. At the time, the
chain had only three locations. In 2006, Bonefish Grill announced the opening
of its 100th restaurant. As of December 27, 2015, Bloomin' Brands had five
