The Aims of this Scheme are to:


Introduce and define the topics Manufactures Boards and Timber Conversion
Enhance students special and psychomotor skills through the completion of a bird feeder project
Relate the topics to real world applications
Integrate cross curricular activities by actively engaging the content with interests of the students
Facilitate the different levels of learning within a mixed ability class
Provide a safe secure and nurturing platform for students who have difficulty with completing the work.
Ensure the students can use the marking out equipment correctly.
Ensure the students can use the woodworking tools correctly.
Ensure the students understand the process involved in manufactured boards.
Ensure the students understand the timber conversion process.
Ensure the students are aware of the safety aspects involved in MTW.
Ensure safety in the MTW room at all times
