2010 A Year of Change
This workshop is intended for cancer
registrars and any interested health
care professional.
Purpose
The purpose of the conference is to
increase the knowledge of cancer
registrars by providing information
regarding breast cancer including the
biology, staging, treatment, and
genetic risk factors of the disease.
Objectives
Upon completion, participants will be
able to:

Identify the biologic aspects of
breast cancer.

Discuss the medical oncology
approach to breast cancer
treatment.

Examine methods of treating
breast cancer using radiation
therapy.

Describe the use of genetic testing
in hereditary breast cancer.

Identify the following
clarifications in CSv2 coding:
 Updates in the use of CSv2
 Colon SSF#6 radial margin
 Prostate clinical staging
 Lung clinical staging

Understand the cancer
experience from the patient ‘s
perspective.
