ARTICLE REVIEW
A program titled Adopt-A-Classroom was created to encourage collaboration between
university professors and K-12 programs in Arkansas. There is often a detachment between K-
12 staff and students with university professors. The Adopt-A-Classroom program aims to close
that disconnect. This program has shown to benefit both the university and K-12 staff, as the K-
12 staff is getting professional experience while the university professors enjoyed serving the
community. The program also caters to students, by giving them opportunities to learn more
about college. The program is hoping to be considered by other universities to continue this
opening of conversations between university staff and K-12 students and teachers.
