Data Collection Plan

Intervention Plan: Each week, I plan to introduce a new social skill during a 10-15
minute class meeting time. During class meetings we will use different greetings, group
games, songs, or other group participation activities to implement and practice the social
skills. At the current time, the social skills I hope to teach include: greetings, gestures and
eye contact, manners, complimenting others, taking turns, sharing materials, active
listening, and how to resolve conflicts.

Research Question/Topic: What happens when class meetings are implemented in an

Extended Day Kindergarten setting? What is the impact, if any, on social interactions and
peer relationships?

For my own

To make this child

orally ask the
questions in a 1:1
interview with
children and have
them color either a
smile, straight face, or
sad face, to indicate
their feelings on each
topic.

I may include some

open-ended questions
to determine if they

possibly ask them to
tell me how theyd
