I am going to tell you a funny story from when I played soccer
I was 6 years old, playing on a team called the Blue Bunnies, and wore #11.
One spring Saturday morning, I woke up at 9am all excited.
I had a soccer game at 11am!
We were playing the Pink Flamingos
When I woke up, I got dressed.
(Put on jersey, shorts)
(Put hair up in pony tail with a headband)
Walked down the steps to go eat a healthy breakfast
(Cereal)
After breakfast, I walked back upstairs to brush my teeth
I looked at the clock and it was 10am-it was time to go.
I put shin guards, socks, then cleats on
Hoped into my big red van, and left
It was a 30-minute drive to the fields.
When we arrived, I saw all of my teammates.
I collected my soccer ball and bag, and ran over to be with my team.
I passed the ball with my friend Abby
My coach, Ms. Amy, called us over
I sat on the bench and drank my water.
Ms. Amy announced everyone who was starting.
The starters were called out onto the field by the referees with the whistles
3 minutes later, the game began.
5 minutes into the game, my friend Kelly passed me the ball
As I was running towards the net, my coach was yelling go the other way
I didn't hear her
I was in the zone
I got to the net, shot and scored!
I was so excited!!
I looked at my coach, she looked sad.
She called a time out and told me that I had just scored in the wrong net!
I started to cry, but she said it was okay and gave me a hug!
I then looked at my parents and they were giggling, but still happy that I had scored
I played in the rest of the game
The game had come to an end (referee whistle) and we had won!
We all went to Kerbers for some ice cream to celebrate
