Caro Piero
è vero che San Suu Kyi agli arresti domiciliari non può partecipare alle
elezioni farsa (basta vedere come il falso referendum del 2008 ha modificato la
composizione e i poteri del parlamento), ed è anche vero che la NLD ha deciso
di non avvallare la falsa democrazia che uscirà dal voto non partecipando alle
elezioni.
ma è altrettanto vero che San Suu Kyi, alle ultime elezioni democratiche del
1990 (anche allora agli arresti) fu eletta primo ministro con l'80% dei seggi in
parlamento; è altrettanto vero che San Suu Kyi ha chiesto a chi è solidale con
lei di ricusare le elezioni farsa e di obbligare innanzitutto le giunta militare
assassina a riconoscere il voto del 1990.

Caro Piero
mi sembra di assistere all'accordo tra Stalin ed Hitler sulle spalle di quelle
brigate internazionali che andarono in Spagna a difendere la Repubblica dalle
falangi di Franco. un accordo di pacificazione sulle spalle di migliaia di morti.
Quello di San Suu Kyi e del popolo di Burma !è! il più fulgido esempio di
Nonviolenza che esista oggi al mondo, è davvero mortificante ed umiliante
assistere alla resa della nostra Democrazia ad una banda di criminali assassini
... ed io così fiero di essere Cittadino Europeo ... per la prima volta dopo
tanti anni ho capito quale lo spirito che sosteneva Jan Palach, e tanti monaci
buddisti in Vietnam (noi li chiamavamo Bonzi) che si bruciavano vivi per
protestare contro chi li privava del loro diritto alla libertà.
Accettare questa farsa di elezioni e la falsa democrazia che ne deriverà
equivale ad essere complici di questi volgari assassini vestiti da generali.
Io credo fermamente nella Nonviolenza come Unico mezzo per la risoluzione
dei conflitti e continuerò a sostenere la battaglia per una Burma Democratica e
Libera e riconosco in Aung San Suu Kyi il suo Unico e vero rappresentante,
eletto democraticamente dal suo Popolo nelle elezioni del 1990.

Open letter to Piero Fassino, European Union Special Envoy

Dear Piero,
It is true that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is under house arrest and she cannot
participate in the fake election (just look how the sham referendum in 2008
conducted and how the sham constitution legitimize the military rule in Burma and
control the power of the parliament), and it is also true that the NLD decided not
to endorse the false democracy that will come out from show-case voting.
Rather than surrendering junta, the NLD chose not to participate in elections.
But it is equally true that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, in the last democratic elections
in 1990 (even then under arrest), was elected and she must be the prime minister
of Burma as the leader of the winning party with more than 80% of the seats in
parliament.
It is also true that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has asked justice loving people
around the world to show solidarity with her rejecting the sham election as well as
to recognize 1990 election results.
Dear Piero,
I seem to witness the agreement between Stalin and Hitler on the shoulders of
those International Brigades who went to Spain to defend the Republic by the
armies of Dictator Franco. The so-called peace agreement on the shoulders of
thousands of deaths.
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and the Burmese peoples are the most striking example
of non-violence that exists in the world, it's really humiliating and humbling to
surrender our democracy to a murderous gang of criminals
... and I was so proud of myself for being the European citizens ... for the first
time in many years I understand which was the spirit claimed that Jan Palach, and
many Buddhist monks in Vietnam that burned their body alive in protest against
those who deprived them of their right to freedom.
Accepting this farce elections and the false democracy that will result mean to
be complicit with these murderers vulgar dressed as generals.
I firmly believe in nonviolence as the only means of conflict resolution and I will
continue to support the struggle for a democratic free Burma as well as to
recognize Daw Aung San Suu Kyi as the only and true democratically elected
leader representing her people according to the 1990 elections results.
