El Parque Guadiana es el sitio ms entraable de muchas familias duranguenses,

es un paseo muy tradicional por excelencia y espacio deportivo que con gran
orgullo mostramos al visitante. Es un rincn muy querido por todos los
durangueos, porque sus rboles aosos y viejos jardines son testigos del paso
de muchas generaciones.

En enero de 2017 el parque era una vez ms mencionado pero esta vez era
motivo para hacernos preguntas sobre cmo haba sido la tarde de una
adolecente ms; una adolecente llamada Ahmira Majul Romero.

Para muchos de ustedes quiz ese nombre no diga nada y para otros es el
nombre de una querida compaera y amiga de estudio. Ahmira fue una estudiante
del Colegio Americano de Durango destacada por su amor y pasin por el deporte.

Les deca que una tarde cualquiera Ahmira se encontraba realizando su rutina en
el Parque. A sus 20 aos nadie se imaginaba que poda cambiar su vida. Que una
infeccin que contrajo despus de caer y rasparse en una pierna pudiera afectar
su sistema inmunolgico. Hoy despus de un ao nueve meses de su partida su
colegio querido, compaeros en el deporte, docentes y comunidad escolar en
general deseamos hacerle un pequeo homenaje. Un torneo intramuros llamado
Copa Ahmira

Ahmira dejo sin duda un gran vaco en el corazn de su familia y de quienes la

conocimos. Siempre fue una joven alegre, feliz que represento orgullosamente al
estado de Durango en algunas Olimpiadas Nacionales y a nuestro colegio en
torneos ASOMEX. Era una joven destacada en el boliche, en el basquetbol, en el
boxeo. Fue una joven que hizo muchas amistades debido a su carrera deportiva
pero dentro de nuestro colegio la recordaremos como la chica que en los pasillos
brindaba una sonrisa e irradiaba felicidad.

Ahora el cielo cuenta con una estrella ms, una estrella que seguramente desde
arriba seguir derribando pinos como le gustaba hacerlo en vida y hoy iniciamos
con un torneo que llevar su nombre y en donde la actual comunidad estudiantil
del colegio se enfrentar deportivamente con el objetivo de fomentar el mbito
deportivo y la convivencia entre los alumnos de secundaria y preparatoria.

The Guadiana Park is the most beloved place of many Durango families, it is a
very traditional walk and sports space that with great pride we show to the visitor.
"It is a place well loved by all Durangueos, because its old trees and old gardens
are witness to the passage of many generations."
Last January,2017 the park was once again mentioned. Ahmira was at the
park.This time it was because we want to ask and have answers about how an
afternoon of a regular teenager; called Ahmira Majul Romero was.
For many of you that name may not say anything and for others it is the name of a
dear classmate and friend. Ahmira was a student of the American School of
Durango highlighted by her love and passion for sports.
I was telling you that one afternoon Ahmira was doing her routine at the Park. At
the age of 20, no one imagined that something can change your life. That an
infection you get after falling and scraping on one leg could affect your immune
system. Today after a year nine months of her departure her beloved school,
friends in sports, teachers and school community in general, wish to pay her a little
homage. An intramural tournament called "Ahmira Cup"
Ahmira certainly left a great void in the heart of her family and those who knew her.
She was always a happy, happy young woman who proudly represents the state of
Durango in some National Olympiads and our school in ASOMEX tournaments.
She was a prominent young woman in bowling, basketball, boxing. It was a young
woman who made many friends because of her sports career but inside our school
we will always remember her as the girl who in the hallways gave a smile and
radiated happiness.
Now, the sky has one more star. A star that surely from above will continue to
shoot down pine trees as she liked to do in life. Today, we start with a tournament
that will bear her name and where the current student community of the school will
play sporty with the goal of foster sports and coexistence among secondary and
high school students.
