Lesson aims: By the end of the lesson the students


will be able to:
- to talk about likes and dislikes;
- to describe past events;
- to develop the ability of speaking
in English.

Organization: individual work, group work.

Skills involved: speaking, writing, reading.


Anticipated language problems: Ss may not remember
all the activities which could be done in a holiday,
may not feel free to talk about their ikes and dislikes.
Possible solutions: T helps Ss in expressing their
likes and dislikes by talking about her own likes and
dislikes. T also brings some photos in oredr to help Ss
identify some possible activities.

ACTIVITY 1. Warm-up
Aims: to be able to speak about what they enjoy doing
in a holiday.
Procedure: T tells Ss to try to imagine that they are
on holiday where they want at the seaside, at the
mountains it doesnt matter and to name at least 3
activities they njoy doing there. T give them an
exemple: I am at the seaside. I enjoy going to the
beach, walking on the shore, etc.

ACTIVITY2. Checking homework.

Aims: to check previous knowledge


Procedure: T asks Ss what was their homework for
that day. Hve you done it? Was it difficult?. Ss
answer the T questions and read their homework on
turns.

Timing: 7 minutes.
ACTIVITY 3. Linking previous knowledge to the new
material.

Aims: - to write on their notebook what is Steve


enjoing by looking at the pictues.
- to complete the table writing what they enjoy
to do;
- to express what they like and what they
dislike.
Procedure: T says to Ss to write on their notebook
what is Steve enjoing by looking at the pictures;
T asks Ss to complete the table writing about what
they enjoy to do;

ACTIVITY. 4 Reinforcement of the new language tthrough


exercises.

Aims: - to report back to the class the results of the ex 1/b ;


- to look back to ex 1/a and write which of the words
from the box we find in Steves letter;
- to read the letter and compare with their lists and
say who were right or wrong;
Procedure: Ss are asked by the T to report back to the
class the results of the ex 1/b. Then T asks Ss to look back
to ex 1/a and to write which of the words from box we find
in Steves letter. Ss are told to read the letter and
compare withe their lists, then to say which are right and
which are wrong. Then Ss are told to raed the text again
and say which of the pictures correspond to paragraphs
2,3,4.

Timing: 20 minutes

ACTIVITY 5. Giving Homework

Aims: to continue practicing what they learnt.


Procedure: T tells Ss that their homework for the next
time will be to write short letter in which they sholud
write about their favourite holiday so far. T gives Ss a few
tips, that is they should mention where they were, with
whom, what they did, what they enjoyed doing, and so on.
T greets Ss and tells them that she is so happy beacuse
they were so good, so active. T gives a few good marks to
the most active Ss.
