The Government
The Republic of Indonesia
Indonesia is a republic with political
power. Their whole republic is organized
around the executive, legislative and
judicial branches of government. On
August 17, 1945 Indonesia declared
independence from the Netherlands and
Japan!
Pancasila
This is the Five Principles; which is the
basic philosophy of this government.
These principles include: 1) Belief in one
God 2) Just and civilized humanity 3)
the Unity of Indonesia 4) Democracy led
by the wisdom of deliberations among
representatives and 5) Social Justice for
all Indonesian citizens.
The Executive Branch
This is where the President is the chief
of state and head of Government. In
addition, it is also the supreme
commander-in-chief of the armed
forces. As of now, the President of
Indonesia is Joko Widodo aka "Jokowi".
Then, governing next to him is, Vice
President, Jusuf Kalla. These men were
