TEEN ACTING SYLLABUS


Class Date: Saturdays 11:35am-1:05pm
Instructor - Ethan Felizzari
Instructor Biography - Ethan Felizzari, born & raised on Long Island, New York, is a
producer, director, actor & CEO of CK Productions Inc. He has worked in many projects ranging
from theatrical ventures to films. Ethan founded CK Productions Inc. in December of 2013.
Mainly producing theatre, he then ventured on to producing film, dance projects & to working
exclusively with new recording artists. Felizzari is a versatile producer & director whom is
excited to share his projects that he believes so fondly of. Ethan has been nominated, as
producer, for La Sangre en Nuestras Venas, for Best Short Film at the Queens World Film
Festival and won an Honorable Mention. Other Film Credits: By the Code (Web Series, Prod./
Actor), & Wild Minds Never Learn (Short, Prod./Dir.). Theatre (Regional): Lost in Yonkers (Prod./
Dir.), Avenue Q (Prod./Dir.), The Great Gatsby (Prod./Dir.), Into the Woods (Prod./Dir.), Legally
Blonde (Prod.) & more. His love & passion for the arts has led him to create some very unique
work & ideas. Ethan is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and continues to
work as a premier producer & director for films in Manhattan, community & original theatre in
Long Island & more projects throughout the world!

GOAL: The goal with our TEEN ACTING class is that we explore the fundamentals of what
makes up the components of acting while working with mature works & with more focus on how
to succeed in the industry. Through confidence, trust exercise, meditation, movement and voice
& speech techniques, we will explore all the realms of creating a well-rounded actor &
professional. We will work on audition techniques, scenes & emotional training to develop
ourselves as actors and young professionals. We will also be preparing for our Showcase in
which our young actors will be given an opportunity to perform in front of Agents, casting
directors, directors, producers, family and friends.

CLASS OUTLINE:

Class #1 - INTRODUCTION. What is acting? Discuss the importance of movement, voice &
speech in Theater & Film.

Class #2 - DIVE IN. Felizzari Theory of Isolation & Poetry.

Class #3 - HAGEN. Finish Poetry. We start to read and discuss Uta Hagens techniques.
Telephone Exercise. Fourth Wall. Meisner Repetition is introduced. Receive monologues #1.

Class #4 - DISSECTING A SCRIPT. Character Analysis & Script analysis.

Class #5 - TECHIQUE. Finding Technique.

Class #6 - EMOTIONAL PREP. We discuss how to dive into the realm of prepping emotionally.
Fear, excitement & sadness.

Class #7 - ON SCREEN. Acting for Film. WRITING your own Scenes.

Class #8 - ON SCREEN. Poetry, Text & Scenes.

Class #9 - AUDITION TECHNIQUE. Theater & film technique.

Class #10 - FILM. Voice & Movement in film. SCENES. Receive your scenes for the class.

Class #11 - PERFORM. Performing scenes for the class.

Class #12 - INDUSTRY DAY. What is the industry? Casting choices? Cast-ability?
PERFORMANCE. Bring in a song, monologue, poem, rap or a dance piece to perform for the
class. Plus the mock-audition is performed.
