System Requirements Advantages to the Organisation

Tandem NSK ? Increase Security -- Spool EmPower allows for rapid and secure
delivery of critical reports. Within minutes of the job completion, a
? D30.x or above report is available in any user's e-mall lnbox without intervention. Only
the designated e-mail user will see the report. These reports can be
stored electronically, printed and/or re-used in another application.

Environment

Spool EmPower works on any Windows 95 or Windows NT system connect-

ed to a TCP/IP segment that has both Tandem and destination SMTP compli-
ant e-mail systems. For example, to connect to an internal e-mail system,
the workstation needs to be a node that communicates via TCP/IP to the
Tandem and SMTP gateway for your e-mall system. If Internet is the destina-
tion e-mall system, Spool EmPower will need to reside on a segment that has
access to the Tandem and Internet. Spool EmPower utilizes the connection
protocols provided with the Tandem NSK and connects to Tandem NSK
through the Spooler Interface Facility (SPIF).
