HOW WE EXPRESS FEELINGS

Feelings, or emotions, are important. If you feel happy or sad or angry or afraid, you let other people
know how you feel. There are many ways to do this. Here are some of them.
You can express feelings in speech. Congratulations! means you are happy for someone. Stop
that! means you are angry. Just your tone of voice says a lot. Oh? means you are unsure. Oh!
means surprise, joy, anger, or sadness, depending on the tone you use.
But you do not always need your voice to express feelings. Gestures motions of the hands work
just as well. You can use your hands to say things like Welcome! or Danger! or Thats great!
Expressions on your face also show how you feel. A smile means you are happy. A frown means you
are not happy. Sometimes you express feelings by opening or closing your eyes. How many ways do
you know to show that you like or dont like something?
