THE BENEFITS
OF AN ICAS
DEGREE
A Credit Transfer Facility
The ICAS credit transfer system is on par with
international standards and conforms to all of their
teaching methodology norms and curriculums. The
first two years of the program are equivalent to
studying in US universities in order to ensure a
smooth credit transfer when a student transfers to an
international university. All international universities
accept credit transfers of the ICAS program. Apart
from classroom training, the program also follows
the assessment, learning orientation and the labs
and workshop systems similar to that of international
universities. Besides the partner universities, ICAS
students are also provided with credit transfers to
renowned institutions.
A Reputed Track Record
Since its inception in 1994, a number of the ICAS
Twinning Program alumni have successfully
completed their first two years with a GPA of 3.5 and
above, and been accepted into over 75 renowned
universities across the world.
Affordable education
Since the first two years of the program are
conducted in India, students save up to 40% of the
cost of an international education. While a student
who was to do all 4 years abroad would spend US
$50,000 plus living expenses, ICAS students spend
only around US $11,000 for the first two years.
A Universal Academic
Curriculum
The ICAS program follows the curriculum and
assessment system of US universities. The course
syllabus, credit allocation and evaluation procedures
are based on stringent criterion. Students need to
maintain a good score throughout all 4 semesters in
order to pass. A GPA of above 3.2 out of 4.0 would
enable a credit transfer to a top ranked US, UK or
Australian university.
Flexibility
ICAS also offers students the flexibility of choosing or
changing their branch or major area of specialization
after entering the university of their choice. For
example, a student who has taken a basic course in
mechanical engineering may change to aircraft or
automotive engineering or a student who has opted
for electronics during the first two years at Manipal,
has the option of taking up biomedical engineering.

ICAS has tie ups with various nationalized banks for education loans. It

to apply for and pursue their education loans by themselves.
Scholarships and paid internships are available in all foreign universities;
however scholarships depend on the individual university policy and
GPA scores obtained by the student at the end of the second year.

Accommodation
ICAS provides excellent hostel facilities; students can choose between
AC/ Non AC rooms and sharing / non sharing ones.
Hostel rooms are provided with a bed, mattress, desk, chair and a
cupboard for each student.  Every hostel has uninterrupted electricity, a
solar heated water facility, water cooler, common telephone, common TV
room and a common reading room among other facilities.  Students can
ask for an independent telephone connection on additional payment. 
Adequate dining facilities are available for all students.  Membership to
any of the mess run on-campus is compulsory. Most hostels have
gymnasium and indoor games facilities. Complete safety and security
inside the hostels and on campus is ensured by block supervisors,
warden and chief wardens (inside the hostels) and by the security staff
and chief security officers (on campus).
First year students will be provided double/triple rooms only.  However,
first year students who desire to have AC rooms may reserve their names
with the chief warden at the time of counselling. Reservation will be
based on their registration for the course with the Admissions Office. 
NRI/Foreign students may reserve their rooms in advance while submitting
their application forms.  Single rooms will be made available to students
on waiting list seniority / first come first serve basis.
