By the end of session students will be aware about the operating suite environment in
readiness for a theatre case
By the end of session students will be aware about the provision of equipment support in
acute care environment to meet the needs of the patient and surgical team in an
operating suite by Operating Theatre Technician.
By the end of session students will be able to identify and move around a sterile
environment and to ensure that infection control principles are maintained by Operating
Theatre Technician.
By the end of session students will have the knowedge about complying with infection
control policies and procedures.
By the end of the session student will have the knowledge to provide routine care and
handling of equipment within the operating suite
