Aker Solutions drawings included with this requisition are for reference only.
Vendor shall design and supply all molded rubber and ceramic lining and submit
approval drawings to Aker Solutions for review. These drawings will eventually
supersede the relevant Aker Solutions drawings.

1.2 Alternate Quotations

Alternate quotations shall be considered in the event the Vendor is not in

agreement with any portion of this specification. However, Vendor must submit a
basic quotation completely in accordance with all terms and conditions set forth
herein. Alternates shall be considered only as separate items and must be
submitted in the same form called for herein.

1.3 Technical Data Requirement

The data requested in the Vendor Document Requirement Schedule (VDRS)

included in the Requisition shall be furnished by the Vendor. As indicated in the
respective procurement documents a schedule must be issued with the proposal
showing, in bar chart form, all engineering, manufacturing, inspection and supply
activities.
The Vendor must issue at least a monthly progress report, indicating all variations
and steps taken to recover any delays with respect to his proposed activity.
All drawings must be supplied in electronic format in order to be used in the
documentation system of Toromocho Project.

2 WORK EXCLUDED

Material transport to site.

Unloading and storage at site
Foundations and anchor bolts and other embedded items.
Steel structure support not shown in the design drawing
Installation labor and materials
Piping external to the equipment packages
Connection bolts with external equipment to be installed at site, with the exception of
specification of material type and diameter.

3 CODES AND STANDARDS

Design shall comply with all standards and codes stated in this and attached
specifications (see Appendix A, Standard Technical and Site Data.) and local laws,
ordinances and regulations.

In the event of difference between codes and/or standards, the most stringent code or
standard shall apply. Whenever reference is made in an Equipment Specification to a
specific code or standard, it shall be understood that the latest edition of such reference,
as of the date of proposal, shall govern.

4 OPERATING AND DESIGN CONDITIONS

Site data, design conditions and general engineering requirements are specified in
Appendix A, Standard Technical and Site Data, Document No. 000-OT-M-001.
The components and assemblies supplied in accordance with this specification and all
attachments shall be suitable for outdoor installation, and the design of the equipment
shall be intended for continuous operation 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365
days per year for 25 years, except for the liner material.

5 EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION

5.1 General

This Equipment Specification outlines the minimum requirements for fabrication,

assembly, inspection and testing for the supply of Ceramic Lining, including all
necessary accessories, to be installed outdoors, as part of the Toromocho
Project, property of Minera Chinalco Per S.A.

5.2 Ceramic Lining

5.2.1 General

Ease of replacement of liners shall be considered in high wear areas.

5.2.2 Corroceramic Wear Liners

Corrocube and Corrotile wear liners are comprised of high density ceramic cubes
or tiles molded in a high-tensile strength rubber matrix mounted on a steel
backing plate.
Ceramic cubes or tiles shall be blue type; this means P95 ceramic, 95% Alumina
content to improve wear resistance.
For the Toromocho project, this type of liner shall be attached to the chute
platework by two alternate fixing methods. The selected method per area of
installation is indicated in the details drawings.
Fixed by Stud bolts: the liners shall be supplied with bolts attached by stud
welding to the backing plate.
Fixed by Unistrut type attachment: liners shall be attached by an intermediate
hold down liner. The hold down liner shall be bolted to the platework with the
assistance of low profile unistrut. The unistrut shall be located and welded in
the shop by the platework fabricator.
The geometry and backplate characteristics for each type of liner shall be
different as per the attachment method selected. The design drawings provided
by Aker Solutions indicate the fixing method per chute liners area.
Liners shall be complete including all the fixing hardware.

5.2.3 Ceramic Liners

Ceramic shall be made of high quality ceramic embedded in rubber or vulcanized

to 6 mm mild steel backplate with pre installed stud bolts. Ceramic liner shall be
designed with AR bar reinforcement around ceramic edges.
Ceramic properties shall be similar to the Corrocube liners ceramic cubes.

6 TESTING

6.1 Testing

Prior to preparation for shipping, the equipment shall be assembled and tested in
accordance with the manufacturer's conditions which shall warrant the
equipment's performance upon proper assembly at the job site. The Bidder shall
notify the Buyer ten days in advance of the above scheduled tests. An
authorized representative of the Buyer shall have free entry to observe all tests
while they are in progress.
Testing shall include functional testing of the equipment items and of the system.

6.2 Preparation for Shipment

All items shall be provided with adequate lifting lugs to facilitate unloading and
handling prior to erection and shall be properly braced and supported for handling
and shipment. Lugs shall be painted yellow.
The roads in Per leading to the Toromocho Project jobsite in central Per
contain tunnels, bridges, underpasses and drop-offs that restrict the passage of
over dimensional and overweight loads.
For the size and weight limitations for all in-country overland (truck) shipments of
equipment and components being furnished by equipment Suppliers and
Contractors for the Project, see Appendix T, Transport Constraints (document no.
000-RP-R-001).
It is the responsibility of the individual Supplier or Contractor to review and
comply strictly with the information contained in above document.
Failure to comply with the load size restrictions shall impact the project
construction schedule. All costs incurred in correcting the situation caused by
non-compliance shall be for the account of the responsible Supplier or
Contractor.

6.3 Tagging Requirements

Marking and tagging shall be as specified in Appendix A and drawings.
