Regeneration of gear box for digging.

Power of gear box is 2x670kW

After long period of exploitation in very hard work conditions, gearbox is delivered to
Kolubara Metal, which is part of Open Coast Mine Kolubara and whole EPS (Electric Power of
Serbia)
Kolubara Metal is company which task is to repair or regenerate old mining machines or
gadget and to produce new Bucket Wheel Excavator according to German technical
documentation.The prime technology which is used in company are welding and machining

Also there are a little casting work shop, and line work shop for Idlers manufactured

More over the company has own department for assembly and disassembly Excavator

People from field maintenance made decision to deliver gearbox, which drive working
wheel. Decision was made according to their experience and observing gearbox behavior such
as: bigger noise and vibration, temperature of oil.
Every year the people from field and Kolubara metal maintenance make plane for huge
regeneration of some Excavator.This time the huge Excavator come on turn.

Activities on regeneration gearbox for digging on Bucket Wheel Excavator

SRs2000x32/5 on Tamnava West field

1. Disassembly and deliver gearbox to Kolubara Metal,

2. Open main work order into the factory for the job on gearbox,
3. Disassembly gearbox house and extraction subassembly from it,
4. Sandblasting gearbox house, visual checking welds and if its need to to non
destruction test (magnet flux and ultra sonic test)
5. Measure bearing holes and distance between axis,
6. Recovery of spotted cracks and machining process of gearbox house (to return
each diameters of holes to be nominal and axis distances)
7. Disassembly subassembly of womb gearbox (gears, bearings, etc.)
8. Visual checked and with non destruction method gears, especially teeth
9. Making decision what gear will be change with new one and what will be
regenerated
