INTRODUCTION

What is administration? Administration is the act or process of the arrangements and tasks needed to
control the operation of a plan or organization.1 According to Mr. L D White, an American Historian,
Public administration consists of all those operations having for their purpose the fulfilment or
enforcement of public policy.2

Theresa May is the current Prime Minister of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. She
assumed office after the resignation of Britains former Prime Minister David Cameron after the
Brexit referendum vote. The Cameron administration did not want Britain to exit the European Union
and after Britain voted for leaving the European Union. She had the backing of many important
members in the British Parliament and hence formed the government.

The researcher wishes to analyse the policies of Britains second woman Prime Minister in their
history. Ms. May is a member and also the leader of the Conservative Party in England. She is
considered to have quite liberal views when it comes to workers for instance. She has actively
advocated the inclusion of representatives of workers and the respective unions in the boards of the
employers. Her policies towards drugs is very strict and her policy towards terrorism has become
more aggressive since the attack in London last month.

The researcher methodology used to complete this project is the doctrinal method of research. The
researcher intends to refer a lot of articles, newspapers and other sources of political news and
administrative news can be gathered. Since the project is about the administrative policies of Miss
May, the researcher intends use the internet articles on this and carefully analyse the information
given in Miss Mays manifesto and analyse them with reference to their effect on the society.
