Sub: Hydro-Seeding, the best solution for greening the areas and for
checking soil-erosion in a very fast way

Dear Sir,

We take this opportunity to introduce Hydro-Seeding Technology for a

greener India.

Hydro-Seeding is used for greening and plantation in difficult terrain like in

steep slopes.

The technology is used for greening of roadside embankments, control of

soil erosion, river banks, Railway lines.

The hydro-seeding is carried out with the help of truck mounted machines
spray which can spray seeds upto 300 feet. This machine can cover a large
area upto 20,000 sqm in a day.

The process requires low maintenance as the grass is hardy.

The Government of India has recommended its use through:-

Guidelines for Planning & Construction of Roads in Cyclone Prone
Areas CRRI Report July 2013
Environmental Codes of Practice, Ministry of Rural Development
Railways, through RDSO (Geo-technical Engineering Directorate)

It is requested that Hydro-Seeding may kindly be used at the following:-

1. Road-side embankments (NHAI is already using this)
2. Near Canals (already done the studies on Panama Canal)
3. Tourist Spots
4. High Soil Erosion Areas
