ALLANSVILLE-Preparing for Revival on Oct. 17th-19th., Bro. Matt
Perry Pastor of Boone’s Creek Baptist Church , will be our Revival
Evangelist . Special music each service
BEECH GROVE –On Sunday July 4th we were honored by Bro.
Marion Brewer for doing the Military Honors and then ending with 2
young girls being Baptized and one young man moving his membership
to our Church. Our Church felt really blessed.
BOONES CREEK-Our 225th Anniversary As a Church body will be
celebrated on 10-10-10. Roddie Taylor from Trinidad will be our guest
speaker.
CALVARY –Had a great VBS, there were 131 in attendance.
Homecoming will be Aug. 15, 2010. Everyone welcome. Our kids
raised a garden this year and they gave away 400 ears of corn so far, also
green beans and tomatoes. Way to go KIDS.
CENTRAL-The LLL Band performed at the Summer Sensation on July
15 at the Church of God. Many of our Sunday school classes prepared
Buckets of Hope to help orphan children in Africa which are victims of
HIV/Aids. Trish Torline in concert at Central at 6 pm Sunday Aug 22.
Idelible Grace in Concert Sunday evening, Aug. 29 6pm at Central.
100th Anniversary celebration at Central on Sunday Oct. 24th.
CLAY CITY– We had a good VBS with an average of 46. We
are preparing for Revival Aug. 22-25 with Bro. Wayne Everman.
CORNITH-Sat. July 21, held back to School-Block-Party, 100
plus bags of school supplies given out. Sat. Aug 14, trip to
Creation Museum, with 20 in attendance, all enjoyed the trip.
Kings Island trip planned, schedule sometime in Oct.
COW CREEK-Homecoming Aug. 22, 2010
EMMANUEL-We had our VBS on Sat. July24 and had 40 in
attendance.
EPHESUS-VBS held last week of July with total enrollment of
74. Youth-led Worship Service was Aug. 8 with 18year old Shain
Ramirez preaching his first sermon and 1 youth making a
profession of faith. Bro. Timothy Christopher ordained to the
Gospel ministry on Aug before he departs on a 3-month mission
trip to Turkey. Youth to hold a bake sale @ Winchester Wal-Mart
on August 21. Men’s Discipline program to begin with breakfast
on Aug. 29 at 9 am. Lexington Legends baseball game Sept. 4.
New couples Sunday school class to begin Sept. 5.
FAITH– Revival starts Aug 26th. Homecoming Sept 19 with
Bro. Bret Benton as the speaker. Autumn Fest will be in Oct.
FRIENDSHIP-Seventeen Brotherhood participated in Prayer
breakfast and workday. Ordained 2 deacons and had special
music by the group “Determined”. A-OK ministries from Atlanta
will visit on Sept 12 to share testimonies and ministry. Special
singing by the “Fisher Family” on Aug. 29, evening service, cook
-out will follow in our new pavilion.
HEIDELBERG-Sept. 5th is our Homecoming. No Sunday
school service. Church will begin at 11 am. Bro. Doug Canter
will be giving the message. Dinner will be after the Service.
Everyone is welcome to come and join us.

Beginning of Discipleship Training Classes. 5th Anniversary
Celebration-Sept. 12, 2010.
IRVINE FIRST-July 4th was on Sunday this year. The Choir
performed “There is Freedom Here” directed by Jeremie Michael.
This was the best ever from the choir and during the performance
beautiful slides of our of our great country were shown by
Dwayne Riddell. The entire performance made you proud of our
Great Country. Thank you Choir, Jeremie and Dwayne. After the
service we had s lunch in the shelter out side with everyone
bringing food and Steve Baber cooking the meat. If you missed
all of this, you missed a wonderful time. We have still been
collecting Hygiene items for the Christmas in July project. One of
the greatest things happen in July was the public profession of
faith July 11th of Jay Winkler (son of our Pastor Chris Winkler).
He was baptized July 18th evening service. We got our new roof
on and it looks really good. Thanks to Reubon Rose & workers for
all the hard work. Now we starting to replace all the older double
hung windows and cover the stained glass windows except the
Sanctuary windows. If you would like to help with the windows
project call our Pastor Chris Winkler. It’s been a while since we
have done any major repairs to God’s House. We still have the
Sunshine Ladies Meeting at 5:30 pm on the 3rd Mid-week before
Prayer Meeting & Bible study. This month has been slow because
of refreshing vacations and the heat. Hope to jump back to full
swing next month.
IVORY HILL-We were excited over having 4 baptisms.
JEFFERSONVILLE– VBS. Special singing.
MACEDONIA-Baptized three young people, Bethany Pargen,
Kristen and Allen Davis. Ladies going to the Beth Moore
Conference. Planning a back to school bash for the month. Trying
to restock our food pantry to get ready for the Holiday season.
MT. OLIVE-We took our youth on an outing to Camden Park this
month. They had a great time.
NEW HOPE-Revival –Homecoming Sept. 9-12, 2010
NORTHSIDE-Homecoming in October and the Association Mtg.
in Oct. Our WMU have an on going monthly mission project
collecting items for the Community Service Center. The church
families are very supportive on this mission.
PANOLA-Our new sign is up and looks real nice. We’re having a
good turn out for TND meals. Work needs to be done outside
before our Homecoming Sept, 26, 2010
POWELLS VALLEY– We had a fish fry on July 4th. We are
doing a Bible Study of Genesis on Wed. nights.
PROVIDENCE C.C.-Had a successful VBS.
PROVIDENCE, E.C.– Had a successful VBS, the last night of
VBS we gave out school supplies to approx. 70 kids and we are
going to be able to send Dessi Scott Children’s Home some school
supplies also. We have been challenged on Wed. nights to witness’
and to hold ourselves accountable.
REID VILLAGE-Bro. Shad Tibbs has resigned as our Pastor.
God has called him into evangelism. With much prayer and
meditation he had surrendered to God’s call. He and his family
have moved to Louisiana. He was with us for 20 months. Under
his leadership our church saw much growth. He and his family
with be greatly missed. Pray for us as we search for a new Pastor.
VBS was held July 19th through July 23rd. The children had a
great time learning about Jesus. Our enrollment was 73 and our
average attendance was 61. Our church had an outing July 2nd at
the Two Sisters Pumpkin Patch at the Webb Farm. We had a great
pot luck supper. Jeff Smith put on a great fireworks show which
was enjoyed by all. We have started collecting our school supplies.
This had become an annual project for us.
SALEM-Twelve members of the Sunshine Gang (Adults on
Mission) enjoyed a “Fun Day”. Looking forward to hearing Terry
Milby in Song on the 5th Sun. Aug. 29. Getting ready for our
annual Give-Away on Labor-Day) Sept. 6.
SPEARS MILL– We had a great VBS, one saved and baptized
THOMAS-10 adults and 23 youth enjoyed a safe and fun trip to
the Cincinnati Zoo. The youth have planned a lock –in at Boones
Creek Baptist Camp on Friday Aug. 20. Homecoming scheduled
