 1. Subject
The purpose of this procedure is to describe the method of Lifting the Equipment in manner
for safe loading or unloading.

2. Reference
To know about the direct equipment, lifting points, please refers the GAD of equipment.

3. General Procedures
I. Observe all signage.
II. Observe Keep Clear and Pedestrian Only areas.
III. Report all hazards or incidents to the supervising staff member.
IV. All items should be returned to their labeled storage location.

 Unit handling is the main factor because of the weight & size of the unit. The approximate
size & weight as per the GAD of chillers are as:

Chiller Model Dimension (LxBxH) in mm Weight

RRIG0352QC 6260 x 2140 x 2760 6300 Kg APP.

To handle the chillers of this size & weight, the forklift or crane is suggested.

4. Unloading from the Truck

Wherever practicable truck loading should be done using the Certified Crane or Forklift.

Note: Staff must follow safe lifting and handling techniques & must use safety items as shown
below.

 III). Safety Shoes

5. Uncrating and Checking Unit Form Damage

Remove packaging material and examine unit for shipping damages. The CONSIGNEE
is responsible for making claims to the transportation agent and any damage should be
reported immediately.

It can be moved through a roller wheel for positioning. However, if it is necessary to lift
the unit, this should be done through the lifting lugs provided on the top of Chiller Unit
using Lifting Belt / Cables by maintaining C.G. Of belt to avoid damage components,
controls or pipes.

DISPATCH 1. ENSURE DRAINING & DRYING OF HEADERS AFTER HYDRO TEST.

1 CONDITION

1. INSPECT THE CHILLER AS RECEIVED PHYSICALLY FROM OUT SIDE. (TO

ENSURE NO TRANSIT DAMAGE)

1.1 CHECK THE CRATE INTACTNESS FROM ALL SIDES TO ENSURE NO

TRANSIT DAMAGE (IF PACKED).

1.2 INSPECT THE COMPLETE CHILLER ASSEMBLY.

AS RECEIPT 2. IN CASE OF ANY APREHENSION OF TRANSIT DAMAGE IT IS MANDATORY

INSPECTION TO DO COMPLETE BARE CHILLER INSPECTION.

2.1 TAKE OUT TOP SUPPORT MEMBERS OF CRATE & ONLY SIDE (WIDTH)
CRATE PANEL (IF PACKED).

2.2 CUT THE POLYMER COVER FROM BOTTOM & TAKE OUT.

2.3 INSPECT THE BARE CHILLER ASSEMBLY AND REPORT DAMAGE, IF

ANY WITH PICTURES.

1. IF REQUIRED USE ANTI CORROSSIVE SPRAY ON ALL HARDWARE.

2. CLOSE THE POLYMER PROTECTION COVER & SEAL IT, IF IT IS OPENED

FOR ANY INSPECTION OR HANDLING PURPOSE.

3. LEVELLED & HARD FLOOR SURFACE IS ESSENTIAL FOR STORAGE

PILFERAGE.
