ATTENTION LADIES AND GIRLS OF ALL
AGES: Please join us Sunday, August 29th at 9:15am in
the Fellowship Hall for a brunch, fellowship and a time to
share your testimony. Please bring your husband, father
and boys of all ages. They will have prayer, devotion and
donuts in the café area. Please feel free to invite your
friends and neighbors. All are welcome.
THERE WILL BE NO CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL
CLASSES on August 22, 29 and September 5th to allow
our faithful teachers to attend Sunday School themselves,
spend the end of summertime with their families and
prepare for our New Sunday School Year which will
kick off on Sunday, September 12th. If you have any
questions, please call Barbara McCormish at

THE FRIENDS CAFÉ is in need of some more Café
workers. If you would like to volunteer your time on
Sunday mornings in our Café, please contact Karen
Retterer at 740-389-1944. They are currently looking
to fill two time slots each month.
CONGRATULATIONS to Breanne McChesney and
Tyler Wall who were united in marriage here at
Gilead Friends Church on August 21st. Breanne is
the daughter of Phil and Sheila McChesney.
VIOLA MAE RAWSON SCHOLORSHIP FUND -
Applications for the 2010-2011 school year are
available at the Welcome Center. This application,
for any college student (but specifically geared
toward freshman going to Malone University) must
be submitted to the church office by Sunday,
September 30, 2008. Details are on the back of the
form.
ATTENTION VBS STAFF: If you borrowed a
“concert staff” t-shirt, please return them to the
church office.
