To Whom it May Concern,

I am writing to express my interest in the Autistic Support Teacher Position at Franconia

Elementary School in the Souderton Area School District. I believe that my knowledge of
best practices, instructional strategies, technology skills as well as my work ethic would
greatly benefit your educational program. I am passionate about providing my students
with real-life experiences during instructional time as well as differentiated and engaging
activities that allow them to be creative and independent learners.

I graduated from Holy Family University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary
and Special Education. In 2013, I earned my Masters of Education with a Reading
Specialist Certification from Cabrini College. I currently hold an Instructional II teaching
certificate in the state of Pennsylvania. I have completed eight years in the field of
education. Throughout my teaching career, I have had experience differentiating and
implementing reading, writing, math, science and social studies instruction to first,
second and third grade students of various levels. In addition, I have experience teaching
in a co-taught classroom with learning support and autistic support students. Furthermore,
I had the amazing opportunity to teach the same group of students for two consecutive
years by looping with them from first to second grade and tracking their amazing growth
as learners.

Throughout my professional experiences, I have received and attended training on many

best practices such as the Teachers College Reading and Writing Workshop curricula,
Everyday Math and Responsive Classroom. In addition, I have utilized technology in my
classroom by implementing Mystery Skype and also being awarded a Donors Choose
project that consisted of five mini iPads. I furthered my technology training by attending
the Pete & C Technology Expo in Hershey, PA in February 2015. Lastly, I am heavily
involved in extra curricular activities, which can be seen through my involvement in
literacy clubs as well as my direction of the first elementary musical at my previous
school.

As demonstrated by my educational and professional experiences, I believe that I would

be a perfect match for the Autistic Support Teacher position at Franconia Elementary
School in the Souderton Area School District. Should you have the need to reach me,
please feel free to contact me at 215-964-1176 or dcricks0724@gmail.com.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Danielle M. Cricks
