Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle, in his mission to teach minds.

Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle knows the importance of education to

everyone, especially to those who are less fortunate in life. It was actually not his
plan to manage a school but, through his faith in GOD, believing that he was brought
by fate in giving education to the poor, he gave his time, wealth and knowledge on
the mission that GOD planned for him. He made some notable sacrifices on a thing
that he knows he will not receive big in return.

Studying law to be a lawyer is not the only reason why I entered the
Juris Doctor program, but also to be an educator for the poor. As what I can see,
most of the Filipinos are not aware of the laws that we have in present and people
who have some evil motives uses this as an advantage. Most of these Filipinos
came from the less fortunate group of people. The rich try to deceive these people to
be in their favor by giving wrong interpretation of the law. This thing must be stop, or
if cannot, be prevented. I know that I have to be an educator for the poor. I have to
make them aware the things they have to know so that they will be able to defend
their rights and properties. This is not my plan in life but I think I have to do this for
the sake of my fellow countrymen. I have to teach their minds so that they can grow
as a person who can stand straight and be proud of their selves. Just like Saint La
Salle, I know that GOD has a reason why I am here right now and I think this reason
is to teach the minds of the poor, as one of the mission of the Lasallian Community. I
wanted to be guided with the principles of St. La Salle in pursuing this vision and
hoping to be successful. Maybe in the future, I can also do some notable sacrifices
for some reason that is big for the others.

Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle mission to teach mind shall be absorb

by every LaSallian Community member and shall give dedication for its fulfillment
and success. It was done by De La Salle on a time where transportation and
communication was so hard, then there should no excuse for it not to be done in
present where education can be delivered easily through fast transportation and
easy way to communicate in every part of the world. It is not necessary for someone
to be able to teach mind be an educator, sharing ones wisdom is enough and will be
big for someone who will be benefited by this simple act.

Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle, in his mission to touch hearts.

If the mind must be filled with wisdom and knowledge, the heart must
be touch with love of GOD. Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle, in his mission to
establish a school for the poor, is not limited only in teaching academics, but also
teaching the word of the Lord and the good morals given by the bible. The students
were thought to pray the rosary, attend mass regularly and to have fear to the Lord.
Remember that St. La Salle was an ordained priest before he dedicated himself to
the school that they established.

I came from a religious family and serving the church. My father is a

lay minister in the church while my mother is a member of the organization in the
parish. I was a former member of the choir and also a member of one of the
organization of the parish. My sister, although in different religion, serves regularly in
their church and shares the words of the Lord to the public. We may not be big
volunteers in the church, but we do our part to render service for those who is in
need of to know the good news of the gospel and the teachings of our Lord.

I have to admit that once in my life, I asked the Lord why does our
family suffer even we serve him. I have once needed the words of God when I
thought everything goes wrong to our family. But, I thank some preachers,
volunteers and priests who touch my heart and put into my heart the love of GOD
that I needed most. Through this, I learned that I am not the only one whos heart
needs to be touch and to be filled with the love of GOD. I learned that every one of
us has the mission to touch the heart of someone who is in need.
Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle uses education as a way to touch the
heart of the young men who is less favored in life. In our lives, we have to discover
in our own ways to touch the heart of someone or anyone who needs it. We dont
need to be Saint La Salle or any Saint, to be a priest, or to be a preacher in order to
fill the heart of someone with Gods love and compassion, we only need to be
ourselves, be true to ourselves and have faith on what we are about to give.

Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salle, in his mission to transform lives

Saint Jean Baptiste De La Salles school intended to teach the less

fortunate and give the opportunity to change their lives. The main mission of the
school is to transform lives of a person to be better. To transform ones life, his mind
must be thought and his heart must be touch. There must be enough wisdom and a
heart full of passion so that a life can be change for the better. The brain must be
bright and the hear must be strong.

In our own lives, we may not know that we are transforming others life
in some little ways. In some acts that are too small for us, it is big for the others. An
ordinary thing can be extraordinary to another. We must help each other grow for the
better. As a Lasallian graduate, the community knows that I have to be a part of a life
transformation by utilizing the knowledge, the character and the morals that I learned
from the institution. To be a true lasallian, someone has to learn its core values and
apply them in giving aid to the needy. To teach mind of those who needs wisdom, to
touch heart of those who feels and thinks of giving up, and to transform lives of
those who are in the dark path of their lives.
