CHAPTER V

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

A. Conclusion

Based on the result of the data analysis, the writer made some conclusions, as

follow:

1. In experimental class, the total score that students achieved is 1948 up to

2490. The mean was from 59.24 up to 78.88. In control class, the total score

that students achieved is 1930 up to 2182. The mean was from 64.33 up to

72.73. It means that the data in both classes were normally distributed and

homogeneity.

2. Based on hipothesys t-observed > t-critical, so, it can be concluded that there

is a significant influence of attribute web strategy towards students narrative

text reading comprehension of the eight grade of the second semester in the

SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kalirejo in academic year of 2016/2017. It is

proofed that attribute web strategy is one of good strategy to improve the

students achievement, especially in reading narrative text.


B. Suggestions
In reference to the conclusions above, the writer gives some suggestions as

follows:

1. Suggestions to the teacher

a. The teacher should know how to enhance their ability in teaching and to

develop a good atmosphere in the class, so that the students learn easily

and comfortably in their class.

b. The English teacher can use attribute web strategy as an alternative

technique in teaching reading and he or she must be creative to use it in

order that the students are interested and are not bored in the teaching

and learning process.

2. Suggestions to the students

a. Students who are taught by using attribute web strategy should be active

and creative in learning reading narrative texts. English as a second

language seems difficult to learn if there is no willingness and

motivation to learn it.

b. Students in general should encourage themselves to learn more, ask

what they do not know and learn as much as possible.
