Exercise 3
Head realistic, able to understand each and every articles, provisions of my Bar subjects this
Semester.
Heart I love studying law because, I able to understand/comprehend them even I am not a
graduate of Pre-Law course. SSC-R is my home, from High School (1992-1996) to College of BS-
Computer Science 1996-2000. I tried to apply to other schools, but my fate telling me to finish the
Law School in SSC-R, which I belong, my HOME!
Tools/Materials Before enrolling in law school, I prepare myself, how to endure and to love
readings. I use the technology of the TTS or Text-to-Speech, which, someone with natural voice of
human, less robotics, reads me words by words. It increases my comprehension, it saves time, ink,
papers in reading cases. It helped me a lot in my studying of Law.
Strength I able to use my knowledge of being Computer Science graduate. I able to apply my skills
in making my work easily, especially in locating cases, how to get it, in much shorter time. Time in
Law school are so precious, I able to apply my strength to maximize it.
Accompaniment Library is very helpful to me since day one. I just wish that, the library able to lend
Law books to the students for at least 30 days. I scanned my books and read it with the help of TTS
for me to comprehend easily and save times.
Service I am graduate of Computer Science, and I intend to study the Law in order to integrate my
depth computer technical skills with the knowledge of the Law. Our society, frontier to the future
that requires my skills set, and with the guidance of the Law, I will able to do It right and just for our
society. The newly created government department, the Dept. of Information, Communication and
Technology DICT fits me to work soon after passing the Bar exams, and finishing my Law school in
SSC-R.

Exercise 4
how do you read with retention and recall a 300-page book within a 15-minute reading time? (dedicating 4
minutes for distraction; 10 minutes for concentrated reading to cover only three pages; and 1 minute for
review (A total of 15 minutes). 300-pages / 3-pages = 100 (of 3-pages) 100 (of 3-pages) x 15-mm. reading time =
1500 minutes 1500" / 60" = 25 hours [needed to finish a 300-page book) NB. While reading apply the review
technique you have developed, make markings
In reading Law books, I cannot set pages that I need to read, but I strictly set topics
need to finished and understand. In the exercise of setting pages need to read in a
certain period of time, it will not work for me since it is time pressure.
My reading comprehension will surely affect if I read under time pressure. In the
exercise, I think and I believe it is not a good way to benchmark the number of pages
in order to manage reading time, but for me, is the topic requires to finish, before
attending my class.

study of law. It just happened that, my undergraduate course was BS Computer Science, which was far from the
pre-law course that requires in the studying of law, but I put it on a challenge, that I cannot be left behind with my
young fierce pre-law graduate classmates; I study, I apply the current issues that interest me most and apply in
the recitation in our class.

than enough, since I am not Pre-Law course graduate.
