Excellent Performance

The N8000 meets the ultimate performance
requirements of Linux and UNIX computing
clusters. The performance increases near-linearly
with the number of nodes.

A single file system can span all storage units
and realize striping across storage units, meeting
the requirements for frequent I/Os.

As the number of storage nodes grows, the
balance between the physical resources (CPU,
cache, network bandwidth, and hard disk
bandwidth) can be easily achieved. The N8000 is
suitable for a computing cluster that has many
thousands of nodes and demanding requirements
for NFS performance.
Rich Value-added Features

Dynamic Storage Tiering (DST): dynamically
migrating data between storage layers (FC, SAS,
and SATA) according to the file access
frequency. This data migration is transparent to
applications to reduce the investment cost

Data protection capabilities such as snapshot and
synchronous mirroring

Built-in Veritas NetBackup Client on NAS
engines, increasing the backup performance
