Edie Weiner is president and CEO of The Future Hunters, a leading futurist consulting
group. Formed in 1977 as Weiner, Edrich, Brown, The Future Hunters has served over
400 clients in identifying opportunities in strategic thinking, product development,
marketing, investment, human resources, and change management. The Future
Hunters clients have ranged from national governments to Fortune 500 companies. She
is acknowledged as one of the most influential practitioners of social, technological,
political and economic intelligence-gathering.

Edie directed the first industry-wide futures research program in the early 1970s. At 29,
she was the youngest outside woman ever elected to a corporate board. She has guest
lectured at many prestigious institutions, including Wharton, Harvard, The U.S. Army
War College, the Naval War College and the World Economic Forum in Davos. Her
many articles have appeared in publications like The Harvard Business Review, The
Futurist, and The Wall Street Journal. She co-authored four books with her business
partner Arnold Brown. Her latest book, FutureThink, was a global bestseller, translated
into many languages. She has keynoted over 300 conferences.

Throughout her career, she founded and ran a series of programs aimed at mentoring
inner city girls, bringing technology to inner city classrooms, preserving modern dance
and networking women at various stages in their lives and careers.

She now serves on numerous Boards and Advisory Boards, including the US Comptroller
Generals Advisory Board, GOSO (Getting Out and Staying Out reducing recidivism),
The Belizean Grove and the Adventures for the Mind Foundation. In the past, she
has served on over 20 additional Boards or Advisory Boards, including the Jos Limn
Dance Foundation (Chair), UNUM Corporation, First Unum Corp., CompUSA, the
Fashion Group International, ThinkQuest New York City (Chair), Boardroom Inc., the
SyFy Channel, Independent Agents & Brokers of New York, the Womens Leadership
Exchange, and the Womens Forum. Ms. Weiner is a member of the Womens Forum,
a co-founder of the Belizean Grove and Women Corporate Directors, and has received
over 30 awards and citations, including the Fashion Group Internationals Entrepreneur
of the Year (1998), NOW New Yorks 2011 Woman of Power and Influence, and The

 Dr Alison Thompson OAM, D.Litt. Ambassador to Haitian Ministry of Environment,
Founder of Third Wave Volunteers, Exeutive Director of Studio Unite

Dr/Ambassador Alison Thompson is a global humanitarian volunteer and has dedicated

her life to service to others. Alison has worked as a full-time volunteer for the past 20
years, running large refugee and internally displaced persons camps and field hospitals
in Sri Lanka, Haiti, Philippines, Greece, Turkey, Africa, Nepal, Turkey, Macedonia and
Sandy Superstorm. For the past 3 months she has worked in the Haiti, Texas, Florida
and Puerto Rico Hurricane disasters.

In 2005 Alison founded CTEC-the first Tsunami Early-Warning Disaster Center in Sri
Lanka.
On the Sept 11th attacks in New York, she was instrumental as a first responder running
a first aid station for 9 months. Alison lost twenty-three of her friends on Sept 11th
which had a huge impact on dedicating her life to service.

In 2012 Alison was appointed as the first official Ambassador to the Haitian Ministry of
Environment where she works in reforestation, sustainable energy and cholera initiatives
and in 2017 helped ratify the Paris Agreement with the Haitian Parliament after the
COP 22 Climate change Summit in Marrakesh.

In 2015 she was honored at Loyola Chicago University with an Honorary Doctorate
of Letters, in the Humanities, where she also gave the commencement speech. Alison
has worked on the island of Lesvos, Greece and surrounding borders in the epicenter of
the Syrian refugee Crisis, where millions have fled the war zones of Syria and Iraq. In
Greece Alison works as a volunteer paramedic caring for refugees with hypothermia and
war wounds and has developed a large network of 30,000 volunteers in her organization
called Third Wave Volunteers. Her mission is to be a VOICE for HUMANITY for the
suffering. Currently she is bringing innovative origami designed solar lights to the Syrian
refugees in the dark camps and Aegean Sea and she has personally delivered solar lights to
over 80,000 refugees.

In 2010, Alison went to Haiti after the earthquake and managed a 70,000-person IDP
camp and field hospital where she was also a medical advisor to Ban Ki-moon, the
Secretary General of the United Nations. She then founded We Advance- a gender based
violence clinic for women and children in the slums of Citi Soliel.

In 2010 she was honored with the Commanders Award for Excellence by General
Simeon Trombitas, the 82nd Airborne and the US Joint Task Force Haiti. In 2010 Alison
was also awarded the Order of Australia, the highest civilian medal by the Australian
Government and Queen Elizabeth for her volunteerism, bravery and contributions to
mankind.

Her award-winning documentary The Third Wave, was screened at the Cannes Film
Festival in a Presidential Jury Screening presented by Sean Penn and Bono. She followed
up with a book The Third Wave: A Volunteer Story.
