THEME MANAGEMENT AND CONTINUITY OF LIFE

Learning Area 1. RESPIRATION
Learning 1.2 Understanding the transport of oxygen in the human body. (continue)
Objectives 1.3 Realising the importance of a healthy respiratory system.
LEARNING A student is able to:
OUTCOMES describe the diffusion of oxygen from the alveoli into the blood
capillaries,
describe the transport of oxygen by blood,
describe the diffusion of oxygen from the blood capillaries into the
cells.
run the experiment of smoking test.
KBAT Questions Why the smoking gas are very danger?
Learning Induction:
Development @ Teacher view a video about oxygen transport in human body.
Learning Activities Teaching lesson:
Teacher help students to interpret data on the following:
a) diffusion of oxygen from the alveoli into the blood capillaries and from
the blood capillaries into the cells,
b) transport of oxygen by the red blood cells in the form of
oxyhaemoglobin.
Students run the experiment to test the content in smoking gas.
