a) The inside conditions of the HVAC system is centered around the thermal comfort of

the human beings. Thermal condition or the neutral condition is a state with which human
beings adapt in the inside thermal environment of the room. Since the body temperature
depends on the surroundings, the condition in the inside surrounding must be such that a
thermal equilibrium is attained with the human body not requiring to make any efforts to
regulate in the premises. The direct measures of the inside environment such as the dry
bulb temperature, air velocity in ducts, humidity ratio and mean direct temperature must
be ambient to regulate the environment.

Inside design conditions for winter is:

Temperature between20 C to 23.5 C at relative humidity of 60 %.
Temperature between2l C to 25 C at dew point temperature of 2 C.

Inside design conditions for winter is:

Temperature between23 C to 26 C at relative humidity of 60 %.
Temperature between24 C to 27 C at dew point temperature of 2 C.

Outside design conditions in a HVAC system mainly depends upon:

Occupied space.
Range of temperature on a given day.
Use
Area of unoccupied surface due to glasses and coverings or windows.
Kind of structure of the building.

For summer, the design conditions of outside environment are based on values of dry
bulb temperature and wet bulb temperature with mean coincidence.

For winter, the design conditions of outside environment are based on values of dry bulb
Temperature only.

With the given condition of doors facing north and east only it becomes really important
to maintain the dry bulb temperature at the give relative humidity conditions for ambient
conditions.
