Horse gram masala soup


Introduction:

Easily digestible, fiber rich dish which gives instant energy, so it best suits as your before
meals dish. Eating nothing but soup for a meal can make one slimmer but it can be a difficult
challenge. The preparation of nutritious, delicious, and vegetarian dish as follows.

Ingredients requirement:

1. Horse gram 100 g


2. Cumin seeds as required
3. Black pepper as required
4. Garlic as required

5. Tomato as required
6. Sesame oil as required
7. Chopped Coriander Leaves as required
8. Lemon juice as required
9. Water if required
10. Salt as required

Process Description:

1. Wash and clean the horse gram, pour water in a container and keep it soaked for 12
hours. After 12 hours, discard the water from the container.
2. Take the horse gram in a vessel or in a pressure cooker, add 1 cup of water and boil / cook
it well. In the blender jar, add the horse gram along with the cooked remaining water and
blend on high till the horse gram are ground well. Take the horse gram paste and keep aside.
3. In the blender jar, add garlic, cumin seeds, and black pepper and blend on high till it
ground well. Take the masala powder and keep it aside.
4. Switch on the stove, place the pan, add sesame oil,tomato and then the horse gram paste,
saute it well.
5. After that, add the masala powder, salt and water as required, then cook it together. After
that, switch off the stove.
6. Finally, add lemon juice and coriander leaves to complete the cooking process.
7. Thus the dish is ready. Enjoy it by consuming!

1. Horse gram high in iron, calcium, and protein. In fact, horse gram has the highest calcium
content among pulses and is one of the richest vegetarian sources of protein. low in fat and
high in carbohydrate content. low in lipid and sodium content, and its slow digestible starch
make ideal for diabetic and obesity patients.
2. Cumin Seed is a herbal medicine aid in digestion, improve immunity and treat skin
disorders, boils, piles, insomnia, respiratory disorders, asthma, bronchitis, common cold,
lactation, anemia, skin disorders, boils and cancer.
3. Black Pepper is a herbal medicine having antibacterial properties and anti-inflammatory
agent, which is also used to preserve food. It is a rich source of manganese, iron, potassium,
vitamin-C, vitamin K and dietary fiber.
4. Garlic contains a compound called Allicin, which has potent medicinal properties. It is
highly nutritious, but has very few calories. Garlic can combat sickness, including the
common cold.
5. Tomatoes contain all four major carotenoids: alpha- and beta-carotene, lutein, and
lycopene. Also rich in potassium, vitamin E, and vitamin C.

amounts of calcium, phosphorous, potassium, thiamin, niacin and carotene.


7. Lemons contain small amounts of thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B-6, pantothenic acid,
calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, manganese and protein.
8. Sesame oil has both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties given by linoleic acid.
They are also rich in minerals like copper, manganese, calcium and magnesium. The oil is
rich in antioxidants, hence they are easily absorbed into the skin, nourishes it from deep
inside and promotes skin softness.
