The Functional Lead, SAP Banking Services (DM/CM) serves as a leader and subject matter expert for the
business in the SAP Banking Services Deposits and Collateral Management solutions and its business
processes (Account Management, Cheque Processing, Limit Management etc.). He is accountable for the
solution design, integration and configuration of new business process solutions, continuous
improvements and for the ongoing operational support of these business process solutions. He will work
closely and often facilitate efforts with the business in the definition of process and enhancements
needed for the business innovation. He is responsible for having an in-depth knowledge of the SAP
Banking Services Deposits and Collateral Management solutions and direct configuration that is needed.
He will gather requirement, design, configure, test, and implement changes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide subject matter expertise on SAPs best practices for implementing business
processes related to the SAP Banking Services Deposits and Collateral Management
solutions. Lead workshops in gathering business requirements, influence adoption of
standard SAP processes, identify and handle solution gaps while minimizing
development effort
Lead design, configuration, testing, and implementation of business processes related to
the SAP Banking Services Deposits and Collateral Management solutions and ensure
SAP standard is followed, minimizing customization
Define and execute unit test, integration test and regression test scripts to validate key
end-to-end business scenarios and troubleshoot complex functional issues/bugs identified
during implementation, testing, and post-Go Live
Prepare data migration templates and assist business in data cleansing and validation
efforts
Document all aspects of the implementation (e.g. business blueprint design, application
configuration, functional specifications, test plans, business process procedures etc.)
Provide Level 2 Support of the existing productive implementation and resolve incidents
based on pre-defined SLAs and identify and ensure all enhancement requests follow the
Request for Change processes
Ensure effective performance of the business solution
Other
Ensures consistent, timely and effective communications with internal and external
stakeholders. Keep track of customer satisfaction. Work collaboratively with cross-
functional and technical teams with minimal supervision.
Coach, mentor and train associate SAP functional staff and supports their growth and
learning
LIAISON WITH:
Main Internal Relationships: IT Management, Functional Leads, Experts and Associates for
within and across other SAP Modules
Implementation of SAP application bug fixes (SAP notes and support pack upgrades)
Incident Management
