School/College ID or Aadhar or Passport with clear photograph. Produce the same to the invigilator on request. Students
without the Admit Card and valid ID will not be permitted to appear for the aptitude test. Please note that the expenses towards
travel, boarding and lodging will NOT be reimbursed by KVPY for attending the Aptitude Test.

1. You are advised to go over to the examination center at least an hour before the commencement of the test.
2. The room numbers in which the test will be conducted will be displayed in each center.
3. You are NOT permitted to carry calculators or any electronic devices. Virtual calculators will be made available on the
computer screen.
4. Carrying/use of mobile phone, I-pod, portable hard disc, pen drive, data card, pagers inside the examination hall is strictly
prohibited and no provisions have been made for their safe custody at test centers.
5. Test center gate closing time 1.30 P.M.
6. Candidates are not allowed to leave the test room before 3.30 P.M. (i.e. 90 minutes after the exam starts).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR APTITUDE TEST
1. 1. The question paper consists of two parts (both contain only multiple choice questions) for 100 marks. There will be four
sections in Part A (each containing 20 questions) and four sections in Part B (each containing 10 questions). Answer any THREE
of the four subjects in Part A, and any TWO of the four subjects in Part B.

2. The composition of the question paper is given in the table below:

3. There is negative marking for wrong answers. Unanswered questions will not be evaluated and will not be penalized as a wrong
answer.
4. In Part A each correct answer gets 1 mark and for each incorrect answer 0.25 mark will be deducted. In Part B each correct
answer gets 2 marks and for each incorrect answer 0.5 mark will be deducted.
5. The examination will be computer based test. Candidates are advised to go through the mock test which is available at the KVPY
website. Questions that are answered and Marked for reviews will be considered as ANSWERED.
