Dwarf
The favored of Reorx, they are among the most
industrious and resilient races of Krynn.
Subraces. The Fianawar of Taladas are counted
amongst the hill dwarves, while the Nylgai
Hadirnoe (Scorned) and Vrakar are considered
mountain dwarves. The Theiwar, Daergar, and
Zhakar dwarves are all considered dark dwarves.
Four additional subraces of dwarves populate
Krynn: Theiwar, Daergar, Zhakar, and Gully.

Theiwar Dwarf
Theiwar, also known as Thankless or Derro dwarves, are
one of the Clans of Dwarves who live in the
underground kingdom of Thorbardin. Their appearance
is thin and undernourished, with unkempt black hair and
their beards are usually scraggly. Their skin is white due
to their aversion to the sun, and any bright light will
blind them. They commonly wear heavy cloth and
chainmail armor that hangs down to their knees.

Theiwar Dwarf feat


If your DM allows the use of feats, your Theiwar dwarf
character has the option of taking the following feat.
Theiwar Savant
Prerequisites: Dwarf, Theiwar and Sorcerer, Warlock, or Wizard
You are counted among the most feared of all Theiwar, for you
have embraced dark magic to enhance your abilities.
Increase any one ability score by 2, with resultant deformity.
For example, if you increase your Charisma score, your facial
features become exaggerated and prominent. An increase to
Strength would result in your muscles bulging and thickening,
and so on.
Choose a conjuration, enchantment, evocation, or
necromancy spell of 1st or 2nd level. If the spell is 1st level,
you may use it 3/day without expending any material
components. If the spell is 2nd level, you may use it 1/day
without expending any material components.
You have Disadvantage on all magical healing received.

created perhaps in the fiery heart of Krynn itself, and
brought the weapons to the surface in their tireless
efforts to purge the mountains of

The Vrakar dwarves were unlike many of their
dwarven descendants, being a deeply spiritual and
magical people with great sorceries at their command.

If your DM allows the use of feats, your Vrakar dwarf character
has the option of taking the following feat.
Vrakaran Blacksmith
Prerequisites: Dwarf, Vrakar
With the proper pure metal and tools, any armor, weapons, or
tools you craft are considerably more powerful than their
mundane counterparts.
Vrakaran armor is +1 magical armor, unaffected by the cold,
and cannot be tarnished by fire. If you are also a cleric, such
armor grants you resistance to damage taken from dragons,
their spawn (i.e., draconians and true spawn), behirs, wyverns,
manticores, and chimerae. Furthermore, any undead that
touch your armor suffers 1d12 radiant damage. If the undead
fails a Constitution saving throw (DC 15), it is destroyed upon
contact.
Vrakaran weapons are +1 magical weapons, unaffected by
the cold, and cannot be tarnished by fire. If you are also a
cleric, such weapons do maximum damage against dragons,
their spawn (i.e., draconians and true spawn), behirs, wyverns,
manticores, and chimerae. Furthermore, any undead touched
by an a -set handle suffers 1d12 radiant damage. If the
undead fails a Constitution saving throw (DC 15), it is
destroyed upon contact with the gemstone. Finally, since
these axes are blessed weapons, they are particularly useful
against frost-wights.

Zakhar Dwarf
Zakhar have white skin and clear eyes resembling glass
marbles. Their hair is white or gray. Zakhar are smaller
than other dwarves, seldom more than three feet tall.
Their arms and legs are thin. They wear dark robes with
bulky hoods concealing most of their faces, along with
skin-tight leather gloves and boots. Their voices are low
and soft, barely above a whisper.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases
by 1.
Size. Zhakar stand around 3 feet tall and average
around 75 pounds in weight. Your size is small.
Cantrip. You know one cantrip of your choice from the
sorcerer spell list. Charisma is your spellcasting ability
for it.
Zhakar Resilience. You have advantage on saving
throws against disease.
Zhakar Combat Proficiency. You have proficiency with
the blowgun, mace, and sickle. This replaces dwarven
combat proficiency.
Sneaky. You have proficiency in the Stealth skill.
Superior Darkvision. Your darkvision has a radius of
120 feet.

Zhakar Dwarf feat


If your DM allows the use of feats, your Zhakar dwarf character
has the option of taking the following feat.
Zhakar Savant
Prerequisites: Dwarf, Zhakar
You are a leader among the Zhakar, for you have harnessed
your natural magical powers to strike down your foes.
Increase your Charisma score by 1.
You may cast the Blindness/Deafness spell once per day.
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Gully Dwarf Names


When gully dwarves are born, they are often given
simple names. As gully dwarves grow older, they often
change these names, depending on new words they
have heard or deeds they have performed. Tribe names
follow the same pattern of simple one or two syllable
words.
Male and Female Names: Birt, Blip, Bupu, Clout, Faze,
Grub, Guk, Gus, Jeb, Maggot, Ooz, Phudge, Pog, Rags,
Ratt, Regal, Scab, Sestun, Scatter, Squat, Thump, Twitch,
Verm
Tribe Names: Bulp, Bung, Churp, Gug, Hak, Plug

Gully Dwarf
Though technically dwarves, most sentient races
consider your people the lowest of the low, the
anguished, or Aghar. Despite all that you know that the
other races are just jealous of your good looks and
cunning.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases
by 2. Your Intelligence score decreases by 2.
Size. Gully dwarves stand between 3 and 4 feet tall
and average just over 100 pounds. Your size is Small.
Pitiable. Gully dwarf diplomacy consists of flattery,

this ability to a fine art. Whenever you make a Charisma


(Persuasion) check related to convincing an enemy not
to harm you, you are considered proficient in the
Persuasion skill and add double your proficiency bonus
to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.

Gully dwarf shamans


Aghar are rarely spellcasters, but occasionally a tribe will rally
around the spiritual leadership of a shaman. These aghar are
more often than not, simply aghar with a penchance for
showmanship, rather than individuals capable of manipulating
magical or divine power.
Such characters are best represented with the acolyte
background, and are members of non-magical classes, such as
fighters, rogues, barbarians, etc.
