Period 30/1/2007 TO Date SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER SAUDI ARAMCO
I am working as a senior process engineer for CDU complex including Merox units along
with energy Monitoring. . My achievements include control column from flooding, optimizing
unit that resulted in additional revenue of 10 MM$.

Period 30/3/2006 TO 29/1/2007 DGM-OPERATIONS ESSAR OIL LIMITED

I worked as DGM (Deputy General Manager)-OPERATIONS for bringing on-stream ESSAR

REFINERY. I am in-charge of all the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities of the refinery
complexes including Crude, FCC, Hydrotreater units. I am responsible for the successful commissioning
of the phase-I of project.
: Commissioned the grass root refinery Crude complex with zero accident.
: Get the required modifications done with out delaying project to ensure long run
: Enhance operating margins
: De-bottlenecking
: Environmental /Statutory norms maintenance.
: Ensure in house availability of critical resources to speedup vendor services

Period 11/2000 TO 29/3/2006 SUPERVISOR QATAR PETROLEUM

I worked as a commissioning team member and involved from pre-commissioning activities of

Residue Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) complex of M/s. Qatar Petroleum Refining Directorate.
It is 28,000 BPSD, UOP single stage regeneration process with 15 MW Semen’s Power Generation
Package and downstream UOP Merox facilities for LPG & Naphtha, Hydro finishing facility for Heavy
Naphtha and Hydro treating facility for Cycle Oil. I TRAINED OPERATORS TO understand the
process & control philosophies and contributed to improve the start-up/shutdown procedures using
my experience and engineering degree. The Unit commissioned successfully and the process/unit is
stabilized by the end of first quarter of 2002.

Pre-commissioning and commissioning contributions;

I lead a team of operators in my group and area .i trained field operators in such away that they
become familiar with plant and punch deviations from P&I.D in piping, mechanical, operations view.
Train them on new equipment where they lack like pilot operated solenoids, critical systems like main
column bottoms in RFCC for blinding/flushing, to solve problems with ease and stabilize without
shutdown.

Established operating procedures for RFCC commissioning to overcome heavy catalyst carryover
and resulting shutdown by several steps;( 1) Avoid Pressure Surge In System With Gradual Loading
Of Wet Gas Compressor Along With Feed Rate Rise (2) Make available sufficient manpower to
switch, clean main column bottoms pump (3) Diluting the stock just to see the initial cat carryover to
be pushed off. (4) Varied catalyst bed levels and bed densities to reduce carry over (.5) Adjustment
of load on MCB circulation and product pumps and recycle (6)·Conversion of control from
temperature to pressure to run a condensing turbo generator. 7) Loop and interlock checking’s of
critical equipment 8) Trail runs with vendors

Trainings undergone

1) PLANTS; Platformer, Penex, Molex, Transfer Pumphouse

2) UOP Graduate Certificate In Fcc Operations
3) LURGI-LG Consortium Training In Plant Operations &FCCU
4) Process Plant Operations By Advanced Training Institute, Madras
5) Supervisory Development By Board Of Technical Education, A.P. INDIA
6) Breathing Life Support/ Heart Saver/First Aid /Safety Courses etc.

EMERGENCIES HANDLING Like Utilities, Feed, Pumps & Equipment failure, check valve passing, main
column bottom return control valve plug gave away etc

Pressure survey to identify problems across columns /absorbers and heat exchangers.

Avoided blast in regenerator-reactor due to passing of slide valves by following positive isolation, quick de-
pressuring and preventing backup of hydrocarbons from relief header

MODIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVING PRODUCTIVITY AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY;
