All books on your Device are automatically placed to
your PocketBook Reader Library.

To refresh the Library pull the books list from top to
bottom.

Select a book with a long tap to see the book info,
delete book (from the library/from the le
system/from the specic section) or share it.
To select more than one book choose rst one with a
long tap on it and then check the others.

PAGE DISPLAY MODES

You can choose three types of pages display:

Single page mode pages flipping is carried

out with a regular paging gesture;

Scroll mode pages flipping is carried out

with a scrolling;

Book mode displays 2 pages in album

orientation, pages flipping is carried out with a
regular paging gesture.

BRIGHTNESS
You can set up a screen brightness during reading in
two ways:

Move slider for manual set up;

Choose automatic settings.

ZOOM
You can change page size in three ways:

Move slider for manual set up;

Fit to width pages will zoom to screen width;

Fit to screen pages will zoom to screen size.

BACKGROUND AND FONT COLOR

To change the background and font colors choose
one of four available options:

Original color theme;

Paper color theme;

Night color theme;

User color theme. To set up personal color

theme go to Reading Settings > More > Settings >
Colors.

CROP MARGINS
You can change margins in three ways:

Auto-cropping touch icon to turn on/off

margins cropping;

Cut landscape pages in twine you can cut

facing pages into two;

Crop margins manually with the help of

special frame set manually borders of cropping.

ORIENTATION
You can lock or unlock the chosen screen orienation
for reading with PocketBook Reader. To do that just
touch orientation icon .

READING MODE
You can choose reading mode between:

Normal reading mode;

Immersive/Fullscreen reading mode.

You can create different types of notes in the book:

Highlight text;

Delete text highlight;

Add note;

Make screenshot.

SETTINGS
Touch icon in the radial menu to get access to
global Settings of your PocketBook Library.

Touch icon on the right up corner to get acces
to Book Info, Contents, Notes, Bookmarks.

Go to Page
To go to the specic book page:
1. Touch the center of the screen;
2. In the bottom menu bar tap on the page number;

3. Now you can turn pages with a slider or with arrows;

4. To indicate the specic page touch the number of
current page on the page slider and put the desired
number with a screen keyboard.
Context Menu
The context menu can be evoked by continuous
touch on the text.

Bookmarks
To make a bookmark in the book touch right upper
corner of the screen. The bookmark icon will
appear on that page.
To delete a bookmark touch on the bookmark icon
on the page.

To overlook all your

bookmarks go to
Reading Menu and
choose Bookmarks
chapter.

To select a bookmark
from the list
continuously touch
it. Now you can
delete, color or
comment it.
Text Highlight
To highlight text in the book touch continuously where
you want the highlighting to start and drag the slider.
To delete highlight touch continuously the highlighted
text and in the menu bar choose icon.

To choose the color of highlight touch icon .

To overlook all your

highlights go to
Reading Menu and
choose Notes
chapter .
Making Notes
To make a note open Context Menu with a continuous
touch and choose icon or go to the Reading
Settings (Radial menu) > Congure > Create Notes.

The note sign will appear on the page where the

note was made. To view or to edit the note just touch
the icon.
To overlook all your notes go to Reading Menu and
choose Notes chapter .
Text-to-Speech
Text-to-Speech (TTS) software is designed to
transform text into speech.

To start TTS, open Context menu with a continuous

touch and select icon .

Translate
You can easily translate all unknown words during your
foreign books reading.

To translate a word select it with a long tap and choose

translate icon in the menu bar.

If you use translate function for the rst time, you have
to install dictionaries rst and choose which one the
PocketBook Reader will use by default.
Social Networks & ReadRate
Take advantages of social networks with your
Pocketbook Reader: share quotations from books (e.g.
to Facebook), add comments, tell what you are reading,
have read or like. You can sign in to Readrate with one
of the proposed social networks: Facebook, Vkontakte,
Odnoklassniki, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+, BookLand.

To share quote from the book

with your friends select the text
(touch continuously where you
want the quotation to start and
drag the slider) and choose
icon at the appeared menu bar.
Social Networks & ReadRate
To make a comment on the entire book, to rate it or to
add a reading status touch the center of the screen and
choose icon in the upper menu bar.

Synchronization
With a PocketBook Reader you can read your books
from different devices while maintaining the reading
progress.

All you need is to go to Main Menu > Settings >

Synchroni- zation > Enable sync to Dropbox. The app
will offer to login to your Dropbox account if you
already have it or to create a new one if you dont.

You can enable/disable auto sync. If the auto sync is

disabled the syncronization will start only after
icon will be touched.

Adobe DRM
PocketBook Reader allows to read Adobe
DRM-protected e-books. To have access to the
protected books rst login to your Adobe ID account
(or any other Adobe Vendor ID). If you do not have an
account you can create it by pressing on the button
Create at the bottom of the screen.
