RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Postdoctoral Research Fellow August 2015-Present
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Broad Institute, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA
Lab of Dr. Eliezer Van Allen emphasizes translational science with immediate potential clinical applications using computational
cancer genomics, massively parallel sequencing applied to precision cancer medicine, and resistance to cancer therapeutics.
Performed systematic genomic and functional studies to elucidate cellular pathways perturbed by genomic alterations in
metastatic prostate cancer patients who exhibit a spectrum of responses and resistance to androgen deprivation therapy
(abiraterone and enzalutamide) for patient stratification and prioritization of combined therapies.
Demonstrated the activation of cell cycle genes as a key biomarker for enzalutamide resistance in androgen deprived
prostate cancer. This study has immediate clinical trial implications toward combined therapy of cell cycle inhibitors to
enzalutamide resistant patients.
Launched project for prioritizing oncogenic drivers using allele-specific expression through mutation analyses of RNA-seq.
Directed team of software developers to implement and upgrade existing RNA-seq mutation calling methods by
incorporating QC and statistical measures.
Orchestrated research among clinical research coordinators and radiologists to collect and interpret patient information
Partnered with preclinical experimental lab (Dr. William Hahns lab) for functional validation.
Participated in projects funded by National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institute of Health (NIH), Stand Up to Cancer
(SU2C)-Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) Dream Team. Collected patient samples from 5 clinical sites of SU2C-PCF and
conducted quality control analyses of sequencing data.
Represented research progress for Dana-Farber clinical site at SU2C-PCF Progress Review Team Visit.
Authored total 7 co-authored publications, including 1 first-author publication.

Graduate Research Assistant Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA August 2009-May 2015
Co-advised by Drs. Frank Pugh and Ross Hardison to study the transcriptional regulation in erythropoiesis in mouse by
examining binding locations of key transcription factors, GATA1 and TAL1.
Participated as a member of the ENCODE (The Encyclopedia of DNA Elements) Project.
Developed and completed the computational analysis pipeline for analyzing ChIP-exo (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation,
exonuclease treatment, then sequencing) data using programming languages (Python, R and Linux) and visualization tools.
Collaborated and consulted with biologists and colleagues as a scientific resource for computational analyses.
Composed and developed tutorials and user-manuals for computational tools
