Anticipated problems: if students have problems understanding the English tasks, the
teacher will translate into Romanian in order for them to understand

Aims:
to get the students involved in the topic;
to revise the English alphabet and numbers;
to give Ss practice in using the new vocabulary related to colours;
to distinguish different colours using games;
to develop students listening, writing and communication skills;
Evaluation: - continue - through activities, observation, error correction
- final - through feed-back

ACTIVITY 1 ( Warm up)


AIM:
To create a pleasant atmosphere and to relax the students

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


-The teacher greets the students and then asks if
there are any absents:
Good morning, children!
How are you today? T-S
-Students are asked to singHello, hello!/ If you are 5min
happy!
ACTIVITY 2 ( Lead in)
AIM:
To revise the English alphabet and numbers;
To announce the students about the new topic of the lesson

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING

-The students revise the English alphabet aloud; 10min


-The teacher brings flashcards related to the English TS
alphabet;
-SS are asked to make a circle and sing a song ;
-SS are asked to choose a flashcard and make up
dialogues related to letters: PW

- The teacher writes the numbers on the blackboard
and she asks the students to identify the numbers by S-T
writing them in letters;
- The teacher announces the new topic of lesson.

ACTIVITY 3 ( Teaching the new lesson)


AIM:
To improve new vocabulary related to colours

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


-The teacher brings a set of crayons;
-The teacher shows the crayons, one by one,
pronouncing the name of the colour; T-S 15min
-The SS are asked to repeat the words;
-The teacher writes each word on the table and the
SS write them on their notebooks; ST
-The SS are requested to read the words aloud.
ACTIVITY 4 ( Practice)
AIM:
To practice the vocabulary related to colours in a given game

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


- The teacher explains the SS the game called
Click on the wheel; T-S
- The SS are asked to watch a video and pay
attention to the names of the colours they are going 10min
to hear and click on the specific colour; GW
-The SS are going to be devided into groups

ACTIVITY 5 ( Practice)
AIM:
To give Ss practice in using the new vocabulary related to colours

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


- The teacher announces the students that they are
going to work in pairs for this activity; T-S
- Students are invited to stand up;
- The teacher asks the SS to sing a song they know
in English; PW
-The teacher closes her eyes and chooses a student; 7 min
-The student is supposed to choose a crayon and ask
his colleague :
What colour is this?
This is ........
ACTIVITY 6 (Evaluation and Homework Assignment)
AIM:
To increase students self confidence and encourage them in their study of
English;
To consolidate their knowledge

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING


- The teacher gives the homework and explains the
task: T-S
Find the colours based on the given crossword;
Spell the following words correctly using the 3min
pictures on the right; PW
- The teacher appreciates students activity both
verbally praising their activity and also by giving
marks
