1. Identify the main causes of employees dissatisfaction. What should
the HR manager do to improve the current situation?

The main causes of for the dissatisfaction of the employees can be attributed to the following
factors:

Employees are unsatisfied with their pay scale as there has been a meagre increase in
their salaries and with the scope for self-growth that they see in the organization.
The employees dont find anyone to discuss their problems with as the HR manager, Ms.
Renuka only visits once a week. Moreover, the store managers are also not cordial and
there is no healthy employee-employer relationship established.
Employees feel useless as their progress is stagnant and there is little scope for progress.

These factors are driving the employees of Pantaloons to resign from their jobs. The factors can
be summed up as:

Low pay-scale

Little-to-zero scope for development

Poor relationship with superiors

Feeling of unworthiness
In order to improve the current situation, the HR manager, Ms. Renuka should:
Visit the stores more often in order to
establish a healthy relationship with the
employees.

Listen to the problems of the employees


and be available to them

Increase the salary of the employees after


researching into it

Organize team-building activities and


convince everyone to give their best in
those.

Make "SAKSHAM" avialable for all


employees.

Make the employees feel valued and show


that they are a part of a family.
