B5 Classroom News

A Note from M s. Yee:

Student-Led Goal-Setting Conferences:
Conferences are tomorrow! Please arrive at your childs
scheduled conference time. The conference will begin
with a 30-minute exhibition where students will be
presenting their Individual Projects. The second 30-
Events,
minutes will be the student-led goal-setting portion of & Due Da tes:
the conference. Students will be sharing their drafts of

a goal(s) and will refine and publish it with your support.
Drama Class with
Fall Break Homefun: Mr. Dan begins
Students have a specific reading log for fall break. It Writing Celebration
includes a comprehension section for students to reflect (Published Story due)
on the stories they are reading. Oct. 6, Friday
HTY Drama Class with Mr. Dan Student-Led Goal-Setting
Conferences
During the month of October, 4th grade will be having a
special guest teacher from Hawai`I Theater for Youth. Oct. 9 13, Mon - Fri
Mr. Dan will be integrating drama with content from Fall Break!
unit study class. Students will be trying drama elements
as they experience life in ancient Hawai`i. We will be Oct. 16, Monday
having 10 class sessions throughout the month of Waiver Day (no school)
October.

As a concern for safety, please remind your child to be

Grade Level Announcements:
Oct. 23, Monday
Two fundraisers for our grade level are coming up! In
this weeks Wednesday mail, Christmas tree and wreath Specials classes
sales forms from Habilitat and CPK fundraiser sheets (Hawaiiana & Music)
were sent home. Funds raised will support our grades
integrated thematic units and learning field trips. Thank
you for your support!
