In the novel, the whole story starts to relate with Sethe, a woman who ran from slavery
and flees to Cincinnati, Ohaio that was a free state then And A spirit presumed to be her
daughter, called Beloved that she had killed several years ago to save her from slave life.
Sethe started living with her husbands mother addressed as Baby Suggs, at 124

"124 was spiteful. Full of a baby's venom."
There are many major characters Sethe, Beloved, Paul D, Denver, Baby Suggs, Halle,
School Teacher, Amy Denver and many other small characters. Over the passages of the
book all the stories come up create twists and solve the twists. Overall it is a great
American novel.

I will call them my people,
which were not my people;
and her beloved,
which was not beloved.
ROMANS 9:25
This is the first time ever I m reading a book other then my course books. When my
honorable faculty suggested us to find a story book and read it I was bit confused. I went
to the library and took out this book called Beloved. I felt the name of the book was
interesting though I had no idea what it was about.
Finally I started reading the book. For the first 5 to 7 pages I didnt understand a thing
what was going on. The story plots were unique but I kept on reading. There are many
unfamiliar words I came up with then I did a little research on Google about the story of
the book. And surprisingly everything was so clear.
I had already started to visualize the stories and characters in my mind as I read on
further. I am still reading the book on daily basis.
The story is not too difficult. As a first time reader I have already started to enjoy every
plots and characters in the book. As this is a half of book report I couldnt put my words
together as I wanted but I hope to submit an entire book report on the due date before
the end of this semester.
