Note: Depending on the type of problem to be solved, the position of the sensors and
that of the AccuSine SWP active harmonic filter connection point may be different from
one installation to another. The audit carried out before installation enables the optimum
respective positions to be determined.
Note: The AccuSine SWP active harmonic filter is connected in parallel with the load.
Note: The AccuSine SWP active harmonic filter will be fed from a specific outgoing feeder.
This line must be protected by a circuit-breaker. The AccuSine SWP active harmonic filter
uses this line to send harmonics destined to compensate the load harmonics back onto the
Mains.
It is possible to connect 2, 3 or 4 active harmonic filters with the same rating in parallel to compensate
the higher loads.
Each active harmonic filter independently uses current measurements from three sensors, whatever the
state of the other active harmonic filter; running, stopped, de-energized.
Two cables between the active harmonic filters allow each to know the others state and thus determine
the share of harmonics that it has to supply: half or all if the other active harmonic filter is not running.
Each power circuit remains independent and has its own protection.
Example of 20 A, 30 A, 45 A or 60 A

The air is sucked in below the active harmonic filter and expelled via the top. Clearances must be
provided to allow circulation of an air flow:
The air temperature at the inlet of each active harmonic filter must not exceed 40C (25C recommended)
The power cables and fine wires arrive via the bottom of the active harmonic filter.
Note: To install a 90 A or 120 A active harmonic filter, see how to install 2 active harmonic
filters on top of each other or side by side.
Openings must be provided at the top and bottom of the cabinet to help the active harmonic filters to
cool down.
A ventilation deflector must be used so that the thermal characteristics of the 2 active harmonic filters
are respected. The distance between the two active harmonic filters is determined by the height. The
air is sucked below each active harmonic filter and then expelled:
The air flow required for cooling the cabinet is 2000 m per hour.
The air temperature at the inlet to each active harmonic filter must not exceed 40C (25C
recommended).
Power cables and signal cables arrive via the bottom of the active harmonic filter.
Clearances must be provided to allow the circulation of an air flow of 1000 m per hour per active
harmonic filter. The air is sucked below each active harmonic filter and then expelled out the top.
The air temperature at the inlet to each active harmonic filter must not exceed 40C (25C
recommended).
Power cables and signal cables arrive via the bottom of each active harmonic filter.
WARNING: Connection operations must be carried out when the active harmonic
filters are NOT energized.
WARNING: For the protection of persons, remember that the PE or PEN protective
conductor must always be connected first.
WARNING:
Adaquate insulation sleeves must be put on the power connection lugs to avoid any
risk of electrical shock.
Refer to IEC 60364-4-41.
AccuSine SWP is suited to all types of earthing system except IT earthing systems.
WARNING: Signal cable connections must be mechanically fixed near the connectors
so that any mechanical stress on the conductors is prevented.

Note: 3 stickers as shown here are provided and must be applied on the 3 AccuSine SWP
current sensors (1 sticker per sensor) before connection.
During installation of the 3 AccuSine SWP current sensors, all interconnected AccuSine
SWP units must be disconnected from the mains supply.
WARNING: The wires of the 3 current sensors are connected to the neutral potential
inside the AccuSine SWP unit and thus require a double insulation.
Once installed, the current sensor secondaries must be short-circuited. The secondary terminals of the
current sensors must be short-circuited as soon as they are installed. This short-circuit is achieved
by moving a strap (X1) to the MAINT position on the CCTY card where the secondary terminals are
connected. The strap must remain in this position until the AccuSine SWP active harmonic filter has
been put into service.

1. Remove the CCTY card that is plugged into the TIFY card via the XR4 connector.
2. Turn the CCTY card over to connect the secondary terminals of the current sensors to the screw
terminals XR1, XR2 and XR3 of this card. Care must be taken to ensure that the phase order and
polarity of the sensors are respected.
3. Once the connections have been made, refit the CCTY card to the TIFY card.

The connection leads supplied with the active harmonic filters will allow the AccuSine SWP
active harmonic filters to operate in parallel via loop communication. Other leads supplied with
the active harmonic filters will ensure connections between the two active harmonic filters which
make up each 120 A.
Note: The signal cables connecting the current sensors to the AccuSine SWP must be moved
away from the power cables so that any disturbance is avoided.
Note: The signal cables must be mechanically fixed near the terminals so that any
mechanical stress on the conductors is avoided.
1. Wiring is connected via the bottom, in front of the active harmonic filter.
2. The signal cables connections are made on 3 screw terminals.
3. Put back the protection panels and close the door.
4. Close the AccuSine SWP active harmonic filter protection circuit-breaker.
The AccuSine SWP display can be moved to the front panel of a switch board where an AccuSine SWP
is installed. To do this, use the optional kit PCSPAKP containing:
A cover plate replacing the display door located on the AccuSine SWP door.
A 2.5 meter long extension lead. This lead cannot be lengthened without this causing a risk of abnormal
operation.
Overview
A Female 9 pin SUB-D connector for connection in EIA RS485 communication standard
Function
The communication system, supported by a data link to the EIA RS485 standard, allows transmission
to a computer tool of a set of information concerning the operating status of AccuSine SWP. The
communication protocol used is compatible with both JBUS and MODBUS standards. The terms JBUS
and MODBUS in this document can therefore be used interchangeably.
Note: The parameter addresses are given as @JBUS Hexa and they are equivalent to
MODBUS addresses in IEC61131 syntax %MW Hexa with 0based indexes.
RS485 Interface
For proper operation, the polarity of EIA RS485 2wire and 4wire lines must be set at only one point and
the lines terminated at the end. This principle is illustrated in RS485 Topology of 2wire Inter-enclosure
Link and RS485 Topology of 4wire Inter-enclosure Link as described in the following pages.

Polarization
Usage and logic require the master device of the network to polarize the line (Rp resistances).
Matching
Matching (Ra resistances) must be performed at both ends of the line. To avoid non-matching of the
line when disconnecting an end device you should provide one or two matching caps.
AccuSine SWP is a slave device. However, its RS485 link interface can be polarized and matched
in all the chosen connection topologies either via an external connector or via micro switches on the
AccuSine SWP MERY board.
