The supervisor asked me to implement a pattern activity that
incorporates her Scarecrow activity.
Scarecrow Pattern Shirt Introducing, identifying and
describing patterns.
3 objectives
1. Help develop and extend their inquiry process while
introducing them to patterns.
2. Enforcing play-based learning as they are investigating
and noticing the different patterns while using bingo
dabbers. (4.1)

Materials used
- Yellow paper
- Scissors
- Bingo Dabbers
Step-by-step Description
I would work on the activity with one child at a time. I would
start by asking what two colours did they want to use to make
the pattern. I would then guide the children to start at the top
and alternate between the two colours to dab the shirt, as they
fill it across. Once they filled one line of alternating colours I
would ask them if they notice a pattern? If yes ask them what
the pattern is? AB pattern If they do not notice a pattern I
would explain a pattern is something that is continuously
happening and let them know that the two colours they are using
are creating a pattern.
