at Oklahoma City University.

Selected for the first cohort of the Good to Great program for TFA Oklahoma City, a program designed to cultivate teacher leaders.

Yale University Center for Emotional Intelligence , New Haven, CT September 2014-Present
Research Assistant
Conceptualized, organized, and implemented a multi-year independent research project related to the correlation of emotional
intelligence and academic performance cross-culturally in both the United States and Japan. Project encompassed securing academic
collaborators in Japan, procuring grant funding, coordinating school testing sites, traveling to Japan and three states in the United
States to collect data, analyzing resulting data, and preparing an academic manuscript for p ublication. Resulting publication, A
Cross-Cultural Comparison of the Association between Emotional Intelligence and Academic , is under revision for publication in
an academic journal.
Assisted in organizing a meta-analysis of existing research related to perceiving and identifying emotions in young children.

National Center on Time and Learning (NCTL), Boston, MA May 2014-July 2014
TIM E Collaborative Intern
Developed resources for NCTL to use for schools implementing expanded learning time, as well as streamlined processes, helped with
internal organization, and wrote blog posts. Managed and executed a project to determine non-cognitive programs and processes used
in three implementing schools, compiling a document that contains a profile of each featured school and overarching trends
Conceived of and developed a document to compile Successful Instructional Strategies used by implementing schools, also b e i n g u s e d
by State Directors across the NCTL network, including the NCLT online platform.

Education Studies Scholar Fall 2013-May 2016


Member of Education Studies program, which selects students based on their interest in education, activities, and academic record. For
each academic class, a cohort of approximately 20 students is selected from a pool of approximately 70 students.
Scholars are expected to develop a course plan within the Education Studies curriculum, culminating in a senior Capstone seminar and
essay, as well as participate in regular Ed. Studies-sponsored events.
