This is an image of a nuclear weapon test by by the americans military. This
image is significant to the world because it was the first time anyone ever saw
something like this.
1947
George C. Marshall was the person who led the Marshall plan. The marshall plan
help rebuild western europe after WW2 ended. This has an impact because it
showed that the United States help their allies during that time.
1948
In the year 1948 on July 30,1948 Gandhi was assassinated he had a big impact
around the world because he led the Indian independent movement by speaking
out with peace. He also prove that one man can take over and empire without
violence.
1949
Harry Truman was president at that time he did some movements that had an
impact to the U.S. and the world. Truman made the decision to drop an atomic
bomb on Japan, help rebuild the post war in europe,worked to contain
communism and led the U.S. to the Korean war.
1950
In this year the Korean war began, the war was between North and South Korea.
This war had an impact because many people lost their lives to protect their
country.
1951
Later on during the Korean war both countries received help from other countries,
North Korea got help for the China and the Soviet Union, and South Korea got
help from the United Nations. This had an impact because more than one country
was involved in the war after WW2 ended.
1952
On the year 1952 Richard Nixon gets elected to become president of the United
states. Richard ran for the Republican party and later became the 37 president of
the United states.
1953
In the year 1953 the korean war comes to an ends with Korea still divided into two
hostile states. Many people lost their lives and homes during the war.
1954
The first nuclear submarine was launched into the water. This had an impact to
the United States because it showed how much they had improved with their
technology during that time.
