Kahoot Tutorial

1. Go to https://kahoot.com
2. Click Sign Up

3. Follow the upcoming prompts

4. Click Lets Go and choose your teaching level and interests.
5. The website will generate a search coinciding with the grade level and interests you
chose. You can choose from this list of games or create your own. To create a new game
(Kahoot) click the purple New K button in the top left corner.
6. Then you may choose which type of Kahoot to make. In this tutorial, we will be creating
a Quiz.

7. When you decide which type of Kahoot to make, it will ask you to title your creation,
and give it a description. You can then choose who your Kahoot will be visible to, what
language you would like it to be in, and who the audience is. Then, at the bottom, you
have the option to insert an introduction video and cite your sources. Lastly, you can
add a cover image to your game.
8. Then you can begin adding questions. You can adjust how long the question will stay on
the students screens and whether you will be awarding points to them. Then, you can
add up to 4 answers which will be shown in a multiple choice format. Mark the check
next to the answer that is correct. You can also add pictures to the question if you would
like.

9. When you have finished inputting your questions and answers, you can click save in
the top right corner.
10. Then you can edit, preview, play, or share your game. In this tutorial, we will play the
game.

11. In a whole group setting, you will be using the classic mode.
12. When clicking on game options, you can adjust various setting of the game to best suit
your class.

13. Then, this screen will appear on your screen.

14. When your class opens the app on their device, in this case, an iphone, they will see the
following. They should input the game pin on the orange screen above and then enter
the nickname they would like to have displayed on the screen. Once they have
completed this, the green screen will display on their device.

15. Once all of your students have joined, click the start button.
16. Then, the question will appear at the top of the screen and the students will be given
the allotted time to answer.

17. This screen will appear on the students screens and they can choose the answer they
believe is correct. They will then be told if they chose the correct answer.

18. Once all children have answered, this screen will appear, showing how well the class as
a whole did. Click Next to continue to the next screen.
19. Then, if you chose to award points to students for the correct answers, a winner will be
shown. Click Get Results.

20. Then it will show the ranking of the students. The winning child will have the following
message displayed on their screen. You can then choose to either save results, play
again, or choose a new game.

21. Happy playing!
