NURSING MANAGEMENT STAGE

I. INTRODUCTION
The nursing practice management placement program in Faculty of Nursing, Khon
Kaen University, Thailand provides an opportunity for student to create adistinctive
experience to recognize how nursing management system in the Thailand hospital.
International clinical experience gives students many benefits such as learning about
different management practices, how to implement nursing management such as
management fuctions and leadership styles in the clinical setting, experience
exchanging thought about anticipation of Nursing issues which is certainly different
from Indonesia during the learning process students are together with team
management to make the expected changes will have a positive impact on the practice
area. Student can obtain the required infromation by observing, discussing and
interviewing to each party concerned in the matter conccerned. Students are expected
to have leaadeship competence and management functions that are studied in the
clinical setting in order to become a future stock.
II. DESCRIPTION OF SUBJECT
Nursing management placement program in Faculty of Nursing Khon Kaen University,
Thailand is a stage that helps student to professionally management science and
leadership also to understand about the method of nursing care applied to ward
management. The focus is on the use of management and leadership skills in overall
clien care througt the management of nursing services and initiating effective change
in nursing care system.
III. GENERAL OBJECTIVES
After completing the Nursing Management placement program at Faculty of Nursing,
Khon Kaen University, Thailand. The student are given the chance to be able to
manage professional nursing services in hospital wards in a responsible manner and
show leadership attitude
IV. SPESIFICS OBJECTIVES
After completing the Nursing Management placement program at Faculty of Nursing,
Khon Kaen University, Thailand. The student are given the chance to be able to
manage professional nursing services by:
 1. Identifing the function (planning, organizing, staffing, actuating, and controlling)
and role of headnurse for nursing services
2. Conducted nursing care management practice by headnurse and APN.
3. Serving as an agent of change and role model in leadership and management od
professional nursing services.
V. PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS
Learners are students school of nursing at Lambung mangkurat university who have
completed the academic stage and passed required academic qualifications.
VI. PRACTICE IMPLEMENTATION
The schedule was made in alignment with the academic schedule of the institutions in
Thailand. The program is designed with close consultation with faculty and
administrator of the participating institutions. An evaluation follows to measure the
degree of effectiveness of the program in meeting objectives.
