OBJECTIVES

The Program aims to:

Provide students the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge, skills and


desirable attitudes and values in reputable establishments/industries in the
country;

Provide students the opportunity to decide and choose the line of profession or
field of work (Industrial, Clinical or School setting) they would like to have through
experiencing actual work activities;

Enhance the students competencies and discipline as they relate to people in


the workplace;

Promote competitiveness of students through their training;

Strengthen and enrich the degree programs at CCP

Provide opportunities to learn from and network with experienced professionals;


and

Handle new challenges and complex tasks or problems.

PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

This Memorandum of Agreement is made and entered into in the City of Quezon,
Philippines by and between:

RADIO GMA NETWORK INC., with office address at EDSA Corner Timog
Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City represented by its Vice President for Finance
and Administration, Mr. EUGENE H. RAMOS, hereinafter referred to as
RGMA.

- and

CENTRAL COLLEGES OF THE PHILIPPINES., a private school with office


address at 52 Aurora Boulevard, Quezon City, represented by its President,
ATTY. CRISPINO P. REYES, hereinafter referred to as CCP.

WHEREAS, RGMA Network in its concern to enhance the knowledge, skills,


attitudes, and values of prospective professionals, has agreed to provide 100
hours of corporate training to the AB Psychology students of the College of Arts
and Sciences of the Central Colleges of the Philippines in the form of actual
exposure in the various departments or units of the company.

WHEREAS, CCP has instituted the AB Psychology Program, under which


students of the Psychology Department will undergo a practicum/internship at
RGMA Network as part of the colleges effort to adequately expose its students
to actual work situations, and to enable them to acquire the necessary
knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values of world-class management.

NOW, therefore, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, RGMA


Network and CCP, hereby agree on and stipulate the following:

A. RGMA Network shall undertake the selection process of the recommended


students in adherence to RGMA Network policies and guidelines in recruitment
and selection for this purpose;

1. Ensure that students undergo 100 hours of training related to their course,
and provide the student interns with work or activities that are varied and
challenging, leading to acquisition of competencies such as employee
recruitment and selection, employee salary, benefits, motivation and

retention, administration, checking and interpretation of psychological


test, other necessary clerical work;
2. As far as practicable, accommodate the students for two alternate semesters,
consistent with the schedule of the AB Psychology Program;
3. Provide students with a formal training program or specific training schedule
for every semester;
4. Provide students with an orientation about the company and about the job;
5. Designate a Program Coordinator who will coordinate with CCP the various
activities under this program;
6. Assign an immediate supervisor who will monitor and discuss the performance
of the student interns, every month end, for the duration of the Internship;
7. Ensure a safe and conducive working environment for the student interns;
8. Expose the student interns to the various stakeholders of the company;
9. Accomplish the term-end evaluation form and discuss the results of the
performance evaluation with the student interns;
11. Designate a representative during the culminating activity of the student
interns; and
12. Inform the school, through the faculty adviser or coordinator, other matters
related to the Internship

B. CCP shall:

1. Recommend students who will undergo internship under the Internship


Program after going through the usual selection process of RGMA Network;
2. Designate a faculty coordinator and/or faculty adviser who will coordinate with
RGMA Network on the various activities under this program;
3. Inform RGMA Network, through the faculty adviser or coordinator, other
matters related to the Internship; and
4. Together with the students, faculty, and parents concerned, renounce and
waive any claim against RGMA Network for any injury or loss that the student
intern may sustain or may suffer, personal or pecuniary, in the performance of
their duties and functions while under training not attributable to the negligence
or willful act of any of the personnel of RGMA Network. The waivers of the
concerned parties shall be submitted to RGMA Network prior to the
commencement of the training.

C. Under this Internship Program, the following terms and conditions are
likewise included:

1. It is expressly understood that there will be no employer-employee


relationship between RGMA Network and the student interns of CCP;

2. The student interns will be personally responsible for any and all liabilities for
damage to property or injury to third persons, which may be occasioned by their
intentional or negligent acts while in the course of their training;
3. CCP through the faculty advisers shall see to it that the student interns
complete the agreed scope of work within the agreed duration of the program;
4. It is expressly understood by CCP and the student interns that all information
on technology, process standards, quality standards and methodologies,
production capabilities, marketing, finance and all other related documents,
manuals, and operational or technical matters that RGMA Network shall make
available to them shall be used for the sole purpose of student training. All of
these matters are classified as confidential in nature and proprietary to RGMA
Network and the student intern hereby undertake to prevent transfer of such
information by any of its members to any party outside of RGMA Network
without the knowledge and written consent of RGMA Network. The student
intern hereby acknowledge this condition specifically after having read and
affixed their individual signatures to the CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT, a
sample of which is attached herewith, which forms part of this Agreement;
5. Any intellectual property owned by the parties prior to this agreement shall
continue to be owned by them. The student-intern cannot use any confidential
information or data from the company to create intellectual property without the
express written approval of the company;
6. Any intellectual property independently created by the student-intern during
the period covered by the practicum shall be exclusively owned by the student-
intern. Should RGMA Network provide financial support for the creation of such
intellectual property, the ownership of the intellectual property shall be
determined by agreement of the parties which shall be embodied in a separate
written agreement; and,
7. In case the student-intern jointly creates intellectual property with a person
employed by RGMA Network the intellectual property shall belong to the
student-intern and the RGMA Network jointly in equal shares, unless the
parties agree on a different proportion of ownership.

D. DURATION

This AGREEMENT shall hold for the duration of the 2014-2015 Academic School
Year of Central Colleges of the Philippines., and is automatically renewable
every year, provided that RGMA Network and CCP reserve their respective
rights to withdraw their participation in the agreement upon written notice.

Guide to Evaluation System: These ratings are used to capture a trainees


development of independence in psychology across time. This system differs from
traditional focus on rating quality of a trainees work. All psychological work must be
completed acceptably. What varies in each situation is the relative amount of work
contributed by the trainee and the supervisor to produce an acceptable outcome.

Rating Level of supervisory input required to complete psychological activity to


supervisors satisfaction:

4 OUTSTANDING. Trainee performs independently, using supervisor as a consultant.


Focus of supervision: Review and acknowledgment of acceptable work.

3 VERY SATISFACTORY. Supervision takes place primarily after psychological


activity. Trainee plans then carries out activities independently.
Focus of supervision: Trainee clarifies and justifies decisions and actions taken. Most of
information flow is from trainee to supervisor.

2 SATISFACTORY. Supervision takes place before and after psychological activity.


Trainee carries out psychological activities independently.
Focus of supervision: Guiding, planning and advising trainees course of action, then
scrutinizing it afterward. Approximately equal exchange of information.

1 BELOW SATISFACTORY. Supervision takes place before, during and after


psychological activities.
Focus of supervision: Direct instruction, teaching, prompting, structuring tasks. Most
information flow is from supervisor to trainee.
