Overview of the Primary Curriculum

Doha British School Wakra

Based on National Curriculum 2014

This document contains 6 A3 sheets, each of


which presents an outline of the content of the
adapted English National Curriculum followed at
DBS Wakra.

Core subjects (English, Maths & Science) are


presented in a year-by-year format, based on the
outlines given in the National Curriculum.

All other subjects are presented in two-year


sections, dividing KS2 into Lower and Upper Key
Stages.
The history programme of study is adapted to
include Qatari History and to be more relevant to
international students. All the necessary historical
skills are taught.

Arabic and Spanish are taught from EYFS to Year 6.
