CHAPTER I Introduction
Project Context
Discuss the situation/background of the study pointing out 3 scenarios that
prompted you to delve on that research
Describes the problem situation in general terms and demonstrates logical
continuity between relevant works and the present study.
Cites pertinent data from existing documents or findings, methodological issues,
conclusions, and recommendations from previous studies that shape and portray
the problem situation
Gives a firm sense of the need and practical importance of the study.
3-4 pages only, double space
Conceptual or Theoretical Framework (not labeled)
Find out concepts or theories that will serve as benchmark, or backbone of the
arguments or discussion you going to present in the study,
Discusses the merits of the theories/concepts that legitimize the:
- validity of the research questions
- meanings of the variables in the study, the measurements employed, and
the design adopted
- analytic and interpretive approaches used
These are proven mindsets of experts or philosophers in the field of your study
pointing out clear articulation of the different strategies, techniques, or
approaches you are going to make in the pursuit of the study
Depicts and briefly explains the conceptual blueprint that serves as the roadmap
of the study either in the form of a:
- Causal Paradigm
- IPO (Input-Process-Output) Paradigm
- System Architecture
- Operational Paradigm (Process Flowchart)
Statement of Objectives

Objectives are written by either beginning with an action verb or an

infinitive
General Objectives (sample)(not labeled)
This study aimed to develop a game application that uses genetic
algorithm for games artificial intelligence that can compete with
the abilities of a human
Specific Objectives (not labeled)
The following statements are the specific objectives of the study:
1. To implement the Battleship board game in mobile phone
supported with Googles android platform
Purpose and Description
Who will benefit on the project. Should discuss who and why they will be
benefited
Scope and limitations
(the coverage, respondents, methods, measurement and analytic tools including their
limitations are already evident in Chapter III (Design and Methodology)
Technical Background
Details of the technologies to be used
How the project will work

Chapter II. Review of Related Literatures

Start from the global/international, national(Philippine setting) to regional/ local
(organization where you belong) scenarios which lead you to that research
Close the discussion linking your study to those scenarios by pointing out the felt
need to take such study

CHAPTER III: DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY

Population and Locale (if Applicable)
- Locale
- Population of the Study
- Organizational Chart/Profile
Methodology
Present here the software methodology used and justify why you used such
methodology. Present the phases of your chosen software methodology discuss
what you have done in each phase.
Requirement Analysis
Base this on your objectives
variety of data collection methods are available to researchers,
including diaries and journals, interviews, memory-work, and
questionnaires
Requirement Documentation
Should discuss the different modules of the system.

CHAPTER IV: Results and Discussion

This section presents the results and discusses the findings per problem/ objective. The
themes in the headings and sub-headings of this section are stated in a one-to-one
correspondence with the logic of the research questions.
All specific objectives under Chapter I should be answered and the results should be
discussed to a great extent which may be supported by tables, graphs, figures,
algorithms or relevant source code.
Inclusion of flowcharts
Inclusion of diagrams
Inclusion of software/hardware screenshots
CHAPTER V: RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommendations
Prescribes concrete and doable interventions that address, alleviate or arrest the problem
situation.
